5th February 2006

Performance of the week went to the U9s East who met a second placed Gornal side who had only lost one game all season, but an energetic display from man of the match, Jon Rizzo, led Hawks to a tremendous 2-1 win. Rizzo opened the scoring from a direct free kick and Tom Wickstead put Hawks in the driving seat with a headed goal from a Reece Marks corner. Gornal clawed one back with some second half pressure but Hawks hung on for a deserved win.

There was no pressure for the U7s East, who had a comfortable 9-0 win against Brierley Hill Bullets with Cain Smith getting five goals and the others coming from man of the match, Ben Clarke.

The U8s East had an equally comfortable game against Kewford Eagles North winning 8-0. Coby Charles, Connor Mills and Danny McGovern got a brace each with the other coming from Joe Owen. Man of the match went to Jacob Lane.

The U9s North deserved better against Brierley Hill Bullets but lost 4-1 with Philip Mylona getting the goal and Sam Griffiths man of the match.

The U9s Dynamos missed chances to go ahead against Kewford West and had to accept a 2-0 defeat. Man of the match went to Joe Kelly with a strong defensive performance.

The U11s met Oldswinford and hit six goals without reply, Ryan Skipton got a hat trick and Adam Hodges, Sam Dickens and Guy Millward got one each. Man of the match went to Chris Swancott.

With only 11 fit players, the U14s could have struggled against a third placed St Johns Tigers but in a close fought game they came out as 2-1 winners.
