Halas Hawks U7s kicked off their first ever season in the
Stourbridge Mini-soccer league with mixed results.
The U7s West travelled to Longbridge and lost 3-0 with the man of
the match going to
goalkeeper, Anthony Cowdell.
The U7s East entertained Forest Falcons winning comfortably 6-1 with a
brace each for Jamie Theodosi, James Williams and man of the match, Cain
Smith.
The U8s East met local rivals Wollescote Celtic winning 3-1 with goals
from Jacob Lane (2) and Charlie Gregg. Man of the match went to
Matthew Ravenscroft.
The U8s West won 4-1 against Gornal Colts with a brace each for Niall
Brettle and man of the match, Dominic Hipkiss.
The U9s East drew 0-0 at Phoenix Youth with stand in goalkeeper, Louis
Ezewele, earning man of the match with some crucial saves including one from a
penalty.
The U9s Dynamos were 2-0 down to Tipton Town but came back strongly to
win 4-2. On target were Rory Ellis (2), Dan Willetts and Daniel North with man
of the match going to Jake Walley on his debut.
The U10s Eagles had a close fought match with Trysull Tigers but ended
as the stronger team with a 5-2 win. Goals came from Jake Mullen (2), Sam
Buckley (2) and Jake Mace.
The U10s Harriers went down 3-1 to Phoenix Youth West with Steve
Barrett getting their goal.
In their first game at 11-a-side, the U11s registered a 9-0 win against
Brockmoor Badgers. Goals came from Ryan Skipton (4), Kieron Mickelduff (3),
Ben Durrell and Adam Hodges.
In the Stourport Youth League, the U14s won 3-2 against Worcester
Falcons with goals from Greg Evans (2) and man of the match, Jos Cannon.
