Halas Hawks U8s West pulled off probably the best performance of the weekend against Warstones Wanderers West in the Stourbridge Mini-soccer League. They found themselves 4-1 down at half time but a 5 goal salvo from man of the match Harry Allen and one from Jack Guest gave them a tremendous 6-4 win.

The U8s East were involved in a top of the table clash when they met Trysull Tigers, but it was virtually one way traffic, which earned Hawks a 6-0 win to take them well clear at the top of the league. Charlie Gregg scored one goal and laid on several others which made him man of the match. The other goals came from Daniel McGovern (2), Coby Charles (2) and Joe Owen, whilst goalkeeper, Matthew Ravenscroft made a tremendous fingertip save from a penalty.

The U7s East also continued their unbeaten run with a 6-1 win over Kewford Eagles. Ben Clarke got a hat trick with the others coming from Cain Smith (2) and Jordan Staton.

The U9s Dynamos travelled to Bilbrook and were another team that had to come from behind to secure a well-earned win. At half time they were one down but man of the match, Dan Willetts put Hawks on level terms and then made sure of all the points with a well-taken penalty. It was a good all round performance from Hawks.

The U9s West were at West Hagley where they found themselves under some pressure from the home team, but they weathered the storm and pulled off a 4-1 win with a hat trick from Harry Wootton and one from Sam Oakley. Man of the match went to Phillip Mylona.

The U9s East were away to Withymoor West in the Merit Shield and two goals from Reece Marks gave them a 2-2 draw with Tom Wickstead getting man of the match.

The U11’s were involved in a very close game with Quinton Eagles but despite a man of the match performance from Guy Millward, they lost to the only goal of the match.
