In the Stourbridge Girls
League, Halas Hawks U12s Girls continued their unbeaten run to the season with two wins in the Open Cup competition. Lilly
Crawshaw scored the only goal of the game against Longbridge.
They won their
second game against Phoenix, 3-0 with goals from Lauren Pearson, Shanice
Mayers and a superb long range goal from Rebekah Trevis-Smith.
Golakeeper, Jade Bayliss made an excellent save from a penalty.
In the Stourbridge Boys League the U11s and U12s were involved in the
South Staffs Cup and both progressed to the next round. The 11s travelled to Dulwich and came back
with a comfortable 6-0 win with goals from man of the match, Ben Durrell (3),
Adam Hodges, Ryan Skipton and Kieron Mickelduff whilst the 12s travelled to top
Birmingham side, Holy Name, and thoroughly deserved their 3-1 win with goals
from Kieron Hudson, Earl Demetrious and Jordan Harris. Man of the match went
to Sam Cannon.
In the Stourbridge Mini-soccer League, the U8s West beat Rowley Rhinos 5-1
with man of the match, Dominic Hipkiss getting 4 and the other coming from
Harry Allen.
The
U8s East had a top of the table clash with Kewford North, but a hat trick
from Charlie Gregg, which included a clever back heel from a corner, gave them
a 3-1 win.
The U9s East were 2 goals up against Wordsley wasps thanks to Reece Marks and
another long range free kick from Josh Ezewele but Wordsley came back to share
the points with a 2-2 draw.
The U10s Eagles put in another brilliant performance beating Phoenix Youth 3-0
with all the goals coming from man of the match Jake Mullen.
In the Stourport League, the U14s thrashed local rivals Hasbury, 8-1 with hat
tricks for Greg Evans and Jordan Lewry and one each for Jos Cannon and Matthew
Jackson. Man of the match went to Dan Emery.
The U16s went down 3-0 to Worcester Royals.
