The performance of the week went to the
U8s West who met runaway league leaders, Hasbury Rangers, and inflicted their first defeat of the season with
a 1-0 win, thanks to a goal from Daniel Jennings. Man of the match went to
Deon Patel, who seemed to cover every blade of grass on the pitch.
The U7s East bounced back from last weeks setback with a 5-0 win over Forest
Falcons. Man of the match, Jordan Staten, got two with the others coming from
Ben Clarke (2) and Cain Smith.
The U7s West put up a fight against Phoenix but went down 3-1 with Alex
Gardner getting the goal and Jack Willetts getting man of the match.
The U8s East beat Withymoor 2-0.
The U9s East always looked in control against Kewford Eagles fully deserving
their 2-1 win. Their first goal came from Reece Marks after some excellent
play and the second came from man of the match, Tom Wickstead.
The U9s North were 5-1 down at half time against Bilbrook West but a spirited
second half performance saw them claw the game back to 5-4 but they couldn’t
get the deserved equaliser. The goals came from man of the match, Harry
Wootton (2) and Sam Oakley (2).
The U10s Eagles went 8 points clear at the top of the table after a 2-0 win
over Warstones Wanderers with Jake Mullen and Oliver Staten hitting the
target. Sam Buckley got man of the match.
The U10s Harriers drew 0-0 with Himley.
The U11s had a comfortable 6-1 win over Wordsley with goals from Guy Millward
(2), Ben Durrell (2), Scott Pope and Ryan Skipton. Man of the match went to
Ben Hughes.
The U14s had a close game against Worcester Falcons but edged it 3-2 with
goals from Matthew Harper, Jordan Lewry and Matthew Jackson. Man of the match
went to Steve Hussey.
The U16s got back to winning ways after a poor spell with a 6-2 win over
Kidderminster Athletic. Danny Jones got a hat trick with the others coming
from Brett Orange, Robbie Hipkiss and Joe Dingley.
In the Stourbridge Girls League, the U14s became the first side to reach a cup
final after a 4-0 win over Hillcrest. In a tight first half, Hillcrest had
chances to take the lead but Halas gradually took over and eased through to
the final with goals from Elizabeth Richards (2), Olivia Emerson and Kirsty
Houston.
