The Halas Hawks performance of the week went to the U16’s who travelled to nearby Dudley Town in the prestigious Birmingham County Minor Cup. The lads were never in any trouble in this game and went through to the last 32 with an 11-1 win. The goals came from Dan Jones (4), Keiron Bodin (2), Robbie Hipkiss (2), Brett Orange, Scott Williams and Anthony Cox.

Halas Hawks U10s Girls lost 2-0 to Withymoor but should have won their second game with Kewford after being 2-0 up, but Kewford came back strongly in the second half to force a 2-2 draw. Katie Hickman and Fallon Williams scored the Halas goals.

The U14s girls had a comfortable 4-0 win against Angels with Kirsty Houston getting a hat trick and Lydia Bradley the fourth.

In the Stourbridge mini soccer league, three of the Halas teams remain unbeaten so far this season.

The U7s East overcame Trysull 3-0 with goals from Ben Clarke (2) and Cain Smith. Josh Griffiths earned man of the match.

The U8s East trounced Bilbrook 9-0 with the goals shared between Coby Charles, Ben McGovern, Charlie Gregg and Joe Owen.

The U10s Eagles met previously unbeaten, Bilbrook West winning 2-0 the goals coming from man of the match Nathan Myers and Joe Smith. This now puts Hawks five points clear at the top.

The U7’s West travelled to Kewford South where missed chances meant that they had to be satisfied with a 2-2 draw, with both goals coming from Matthew Jones.

The U8s West were 3-2 up against Bilbrook until a late equaliser forced a draw. Man of the match, Dominic Hipkiss got two with the other coming from Harry Allen.

The U9s East were yet another Halas team to settle for a draw, this time 1-1 at Trysull. Reece Marks got the goal with man of the match going to Josh Ezewele with another excellent defensive performance.

For the second week running, the U11’s experienced defeat in a cup match, on this occasion losing 5-0 to Netherton from the division above.
