The U11s West started strongly against Trysull and took control of
the match from the outset with some excellent attacking football.
Halas took a 4 - 0 lead into the break with goals from Jack
Bissell, George Shingleton, Callum Hudson and Jack Clews but in
the second half they came under pressure and conceded two goals.
Excellent defending kept Trysull from further scoring and Halas

Withymoor 3 Halas Hawks 4
An exciting game of football saw the U14s go three goals up
against Withymoor in the first half through Michael Eaton, Jack

with Dominic Hipkiss scoring to make it four nil, but with 15
minutes to go Withymoor managed to find the back of the net. This
opened the way for an onslaught on the Halas goal and Withymoor
managed to claw back to 3 - 4.
Howley Grange 1 Halas Hawks 2
The U15s had a solid 2-1 victory against a recently promoted
Howley Grange. Halas were always in control and should have added
to their lead. Hawks goals arrived from Tom Wickstead and Ben
Wyatt.
Bilbrook 3 Halas Hawks 0
The U17s were involved in a hard fought game against a quality
Billbrook Side. It was more of a defensive battle for the Halas
boys who didn’t finish the chances created and unfortunately ended
up losing 3-0, although they deserved at least a draw.
Birmingham County Women’s League
Rubery Ladies 2 Halas Hawks Ladies 3
Halas Hawks Ladies played their first match in the Birmingham
County Womens League after earning promotion last season. They
made the journey to Rubery Ladies and in a close first half, they
went one down early in the game but Jodie Jones shrugged off a
couple of tackles to run through the middle and score the
equalizer. The second half saw Halas come more into the game but
still conceded a well worked Rubery goal. Halas continued to
improve in the second half and deserved their equalizer scored by
Tash Berry. As the game looked set for a draw, Halas were awarded
a free kick just outside the Rubery penalty area. With virtually
the last kick of the match, Katy Monk stepped in to score the
winner with her trade mark curled shot into the top right corner
