Halas Hawks 9 Kinver 0
After last week’s double hat trick, Nicholas Bennett followed up
with another four in the U12s match against Kinver Colts. The
other goals came from Aseil Yafai (2), Mohammed Mohammed, Joshua
Horton and man of the match, Mohammed Yafai.
Brierley & Hagley 1 Halas Hawks East 3
The U9s East travelled away to Brierley and Hagley and a great
effort by the lads from start to finish saw them leading 3-1 at
half time then holding on in the second half seeing the game
through as comfortable winners. The man of the match went to a
solid performance by hat-trick man, Harry Beasley.
Halas Hawks West 0 Withymoor Colts West
2
The U9s West were well beaten 2-0 against a very
determined Withymoor side. The nearest Halas came to scoring was a
free kick taken by Harvey Brookes which was well saved by the
Withymoor keeper. James Exall had a superb game in goal for Halas
pulling off a string fine saves to keep the score down to 2-nil
which earned him the man of the match award.
Halas Hawks East 2 Halas Hawks West 1
The U10s East entertained Halas West hoping to build on
their good start to the season. Halas East were down to the bare
seven 7 players but started brightly and went in at half time two
goals up, both goals coming from man of the match Rickio Fairin-Hall.
The second half was more of a scrappy affair with Halas West
having more of the game and deservedly pulling one back towards the end of the game. Halas East held on to make it 4 wins out of 4
this season.
Gornal Athletic 7 Halas Hawks West 5
The U11s West were involved in a very entertaining game at Gornal,
who scored two early goals, but Halas battled hard and took the
lead with three well taken goals, only to see Gornal level on the
stroke of half time. The lead changed hands throughout the second
half with end to end play. However, an excellent hat trick from
Jack Bissell was not enough to keep Gornal out who held on for a
7-5 win. Man of the match - Josh Beasley
Halas Hawks 3 Legion Lions 2
The U13s won a hard fought contest by the odd goal in five against
legion Lions. Halas took the lead with a Matt Jones penalty, but
Legion hit straight back to level within minutes and then take the
lead just before the break. The second half saw Halas come out
determined to get something out of the game and their pressure
paid off when Josh Bernard leveled. Halas then pushed for the
winner and it came from a well worked free kick which saw Cameron
Milne's close range strike seal the win.
Halas Hawks 1 Kewford West 4
The U14s failed to make the best of their early chances and found
themselves two down at half time. Kewford went three up before
Halas managed to get one back through a Michael Eaton corner, but
Kewford sealed a 4-1 win. Man of the match went to Daniel
Jennings
Withymoor 2 Halas Hawks 3
The U15s East were back to winning ways after an entertaining 3-2
victory against Withymoor East. After a scintillating first half,
Hawks found themselves two up after goals from Mitchell Tomlinson
and Joshua March. Halas were pegged back to 2-2 following some
sloppy goals early in the second half, only for March to win it
with a cool finish into the corner with only minutes remaining.
Halas Hawks 2 Wombourne 2
Goals from Alex Chappel and Mitchell Wells saw the U17s go into
the half time break 2-1 up and heading for an easy win. However, a
solid Wombourne side dug deep in the second half and got a
deserved equalizing goal which saw the match end in a 2-2 draw.
Girls League
Halas Hawks 8 Meadow Park 0
The U12s entertained Meadow Park who were playing a boy in goal
but still managed an 8-0 win with hat tricks from Lily Atchison
and Chloe Adderley, with two from Billie-Jo Handy. Player of the
match went to Atchison.
Halas Hawks 3 Withymoor 2
Matches between Halas and Withymoor U14 girls never fail to
disappoint and this one was no exception. It was a fairly even
game with Halas always able to retain the lead thanks to a superb
performance from Amy Blakemore and a hat trick of goals from
Sophie Pritchard.
Halas Hawks 9 Bridgnorth 1
A great game by the U15 girls saw them to a comfortable 9-1 win
against Bridgnorth Spartans. Alison Dowen put away five goals and
Danielle Lawrence scored a hat trick with Abbey Willingale scoring
an excellent individual goal.
Halas Hawks 2 Withymoor Colts 4
The U16 girls put in a much improved performance from last week
against top of the table Withymoor and although they were three
down by halftime the score did not reflect how many chances they
created. After the break they stepped it up a gear and a brace
from player of the match, Kate Drew, pulled the home team right
back into it but unfortunately, chasing the game, they left spaces
at the back and the visitors made the game safe in the closing
moments.
Ladies
Halas Hawks 2 Studley 4
The ladies team were looking to continue their unbeaten start to
the season but went down 4-2 against Studley. Goals came from Tash
Berry and Katie Monk.
