Halas Hawks 2 Kewford Eagles 1
Halas Hawks U13 girls took the lead
against Kewford Eagles through Louise Tromans following a flowing
move. Kewford came more into the game as the half progressed
resulting in the equaliser. The second half saw Kewford start the
stronger but Halas began to create more chances and the winning
goal finally arrived when Tromans slid the ball home from a cross.
Halas Hawks 4 Bridgnorth 1
The U15 girls were back to winning ways
against Bridgnorth with two great goals from Elisha Rose followed
by one each for Charis Maguire and Abbey Willingale. A great
defensive game by Sam King helped Halas to a 4-1 victory.
Boys League
Halas Hawks 5 Kewford Eagles 2
The U12s took on Kewford Eagles, winning
5-2 with goals from Mohamed Yafai, George Raven, Adam Bowen, Nick
Bennett and Joshua Horton. Man of the match was goalkeeper Shaddad
Dael.
Hasbury Rangers 5 Halas Hawks 1
The U13s slumped to a disappointing 5-1
defeat at Hasbury. Halas started brightly but failed to convert
several chances and it was Hasbury who took a one goal lead into
the break. The second half saw Hasbury score three more before
Halas opened their account through Josh Bernard. Hasbury then
scored their fifth.
Old Wulfrunians 6 Halas Hawks 0
The U14s met Division 1 high flyer s Old
Wulfs in the first round of the cup, where four first half goals
for Old Wulfs effectively sealed the win. Halas played some
containing football, but fell two goals further behind in the
second half and lost 6-0. Halas man of the match was Dillon
Mullen.
Trysull 0 Halas Hawks 3
The U15s East were well worth their 3-0
victory over Trysull Tigers. Josh March was in ruthless form and
added two goals to his season's tally and Dan Willetts scored his
8th goal in four games to complete the victory.
Forest Falcons 1 Halas Hawks 2
An evenly matched first half between
Halas U17s and Forest Falcons saw both teams waste chances in a
goalless first half. Sustained pressure from the Halas lads saw
them break the deadlock with a goal from Mitch Webb and then a
second added by Scott Pope. Coasting to what should have been a
fairly comfortable win, the Halas team backed off, missed a
penalty and let Falcons back into the match with only minutes
remaining, but held on to win 2-1.
Ladies
Halas Hawks Ladies 2 Rubery Ladies 1
Halas Hawks Ladies entertained Rubery
and in a close game, they took the lead through Becky Allsopp.
Rubery equalized but Jodie Jones restored the lead with a shot at
the far post. The second half saw both teams cancel each other out
and there was no further score.
