Halas
Hawks 31 Gornal 0
Hannah Fellows scored seventeen goals as Halas Hawks Girls U10s
won their first game of the season by a staggering 31-0 score
line. The girls played some outstanding football at times and were
allowed to move the ball around with ease at times. The girls have
had a good pre-season and this was reflected by their performance
against Gornal Girls. Chloe Randall,Tilly Pearson and Lydia Bevan
all made their debuts and all played their part in the game and
have settled in well to the team.
The other goals were scored by captain Kelly Nicklin 6, Kirsty
Hampton 4,Megan Hawley 3 and Lydia Bevan 1.
Maddison Eden missed the game through injury but should hopefully
be back in a couple of weeks after twisting her ankle last week in
the 5-0 win in a friendly game against Kewford Girls last saturday.
Sedgeley
White Lions 3 Halas Hawks 1
The first half of this U13s game against Sedgley saw Halas playing
some neat football and creating a few chances but good finishing
by their opponents saw Halas reach half time three nil down. The
second half was an entirely different affair with Halas dominating
possession and creating numerous chances. Bethan Bryan hit the
post before a goal by Louise Tromans gave them hope of a comeback
but neither team found the net again.

Halas Hawks East 1 Brandhall 4
A poor team performance from the U9s East ended with the lads
losing 4-1 to an excellent Brandhall side. A goal just before
half-time scored by Jack Plant should have been enough to kick
start a Halas comeback but Brandhall ran out comfortable winners.
Halas Hawks West 1 Sedgley 3
The U9s West eventually went down 3-1 to Sedgley White Lions in a
entertaining end to end game. Harvey Brookes got the first goal of
the game with a fine individual effort but Halas then had to do
some hard defending to keep the score down to 1-1 at half time.
Things improved in the second half for Halas but they missed
numerous efforts on goal and were later made to pay for this with
Sedgley scoring two more goals. Robert Pilling won man of the
match for his outstanding effort in defence.
Kewford
East 1 Halas Hawks West 1
The U10s West travelled to Kewford where an end to end match saw
both teams playing some great football. The deadlock was finally
broken on 35 minutes when Kewford took the lead after a goal mouth
scramble. Halas struck back a few minutes later when Cameron
Russell's through ball was picked up by Harry Williams, who coolly
slotted the ball into the bottom corner. Harry was also voted as
man of the match.
Kewford Eagles 0 Halas Hawks East 3
The U10s
travelled to Kewford for their first game of the season and a good
team performance followed. After dominating the first half Halas
went into the interval with a 1- 0 lead through last year’s top
scorer Oliver Miller. The second half was much the same as the
first in terms of Halas dominating the game and they increased
their lead with a Kewford own goal and a strike from Carmeron
Ralley which made the final score 3 - 0.
Sedgley White Lions 2 Halas Hawks West 2
Sedgley started strongly putting HalasU11s West under pressure,
resulting in a well deserved opening goal. Halas responded well
and got back in the game with a well worked goal taken by Jack
Clews. Halas took the lead early in the second half with a goal
from Jack Macfalane but Sedgley continued to work hard and got a
well deserved equaliser midway through the second half. Both teams
had chances to win the game but were held out by some good
defending and gaolkeeping on both sides. Man of the match went to
George Shingleton
Stourbridge Glassboys 2 Halas Hawks 3
The U12s won
3-2 against Stourbridge Glassboys with goals from Nick Bennett (2)
and Matthew Evans. Man of the match was Joshua Hanson.
Halas
Hawks 4 Trysull Tigers West 8
The U13s were involved in a high scoring game against Trysull
losing 8-4 in an entertaining match. Tysull had a three goal lead
at half time but Halas started the second half in storming fashion
creating numerous chances and pulled two goals back but Trysull
picked up their game and kept their lead. Halas goals were scored
by Cameron Milne, Matt Jones, Josh Bernard and Dylan Keeling.
Halas
Hawks 3 Trysull Tigers 1
A lively first half saw the U14s score through Jack Guest to put
them a goal up. Halas stretched their lead with Michael Eaton
scoring from a corner and although Trysull pulled one back,
another goal from Guest gave them a 3-1 win. Man of the match was
Dillon Mullan.
Halas Hawks 6 Old Wulfs 2
The U16s travelled away to play a very good Old Wulfs side and end
to end action left both teams drawing 2-2 at half time. The second
half however, found a Halas penalty the turning point with Halas
being the runaway winners by 6 goals to 2. Goalscorers were Kieran
Mcillduff, Kieran Hillsdon, Ben Hughes, Matt Ross, Alex Chappel
and Adam Hodges.
Halas
Ladies
The ladies team traveled to Tipton Town and continued their
unbeaten start to the season with a 2-0 win. Although Halas had
the lion’s share of the game, Tipton could have taken the lead
after a one on one with the goalkeeper, but Gemma Scriven make an
excellent save to keep the score level. With the game looking to
be heading for a draw after some excellent Tipton defending,
Kirsty Houston scored the breakthrough goal and Cat Barrett then
settled everyone’s nerves with the second goal which sees Halas at
the top of the table.
