Boys League

Stourbridge Glassboys 3 Halas Hawks East 2
Halas Hawks U9s East travelled to Stourbridge Glassboys and a strong start by both sides saw the Glassboys take the advantage to go one up. A deserved equalizer minutes later through a Tommy Swancott goal looked like taking the game into a half time stalemate, but two quick goals by Stourbridge put Halas on the back foot with the Glassboys leading 3-1 at the break. Constant pressure by Halas in the second half was rewarded by a second Tommy Swancott goal taking the game into a nervous finish with Stourbridge narrowly holding on to win 3-2. Man of the match was Tommy Swancott.

Halas Hawks West 1 Wolves Olympic 1
Wolves won on penalties
This U9s West cup match against Wolverhampton Olympic was one of the most entertaining games of the season between two evenly matched teams. Halas went one down but equalized through Harvey Brookes. With no further scoring, the match went into penalties which saw Wolverhampton go through. Man of the match went to goalkeeper, James Exall.

Halas Hawks East 9 Oldswinford Youth West 1
The U10s East powered into the last eight of the league cup with a strong all round performance against Oldswinford Youth West. Halas goals came from Oliver Miller (3), Tom Baker (2), Rickio Fairin-Hall (2) Charlie Greening and an own goal. Man of the match awards went to Oliver Miller and Tom Baker.

Bearwood 3 Halas Hawks 1
The U11s lost 3-1 to Bearwood Sports with their goal coming from Adam Bowen. Man of the match went to Shaddad Dael.

Kewford Eagles 0 Halas Hawks 5
A Nathan Postin hat trick and two from Connor Fisher saw the U13s progress to the quarter finals of the league cup against a plucky Kewford side. Halas were on the front foot from the off and were creating plenty of chances. The pressure paid off with Halas scoring two before the break followed by three in the second half.

Halas Hawks 1 Withymoor Colts East 4
The U14s hosted top of the table Withymoor Colts, who scored three quick goals within the first 15 minutes. Halas fought back and had chances which they failed to convert. The second half saw Halas reduce the deficit with a goal through Liam Holmes but Withymoor then increased their lead to take all three points. Man of the match went to Jack Guest.

Trysull 1 Halas Hawks East 7
The U15s East recorded their biggest win of the season by defeating Enville 7-1. With the rain pouring down the lads made use of the greasy surface with some excellent passing play. Goals came from Dan Willetts (2), Rhys Boswell, Mitchell Tomlinson, Josh March, Jon Rizzo and Nathan Collins.

Oldswinford Youth 1 Halas 6
The U17s took on Oldswinford Youth in dreadful weather conditions and took a comfortable two goal lead into the break. Halas took charge in the second half and built on top of a good first half performance to produce a further four goals. A deserved consolation goal by Oldswinford made the final score 6-1. Goalscorers were Mitch Wells (2), Matt Ross (2), Kieran Hillsdon and Adam Hodges.

Ladies

Halas Hawks 1 Continental 3
Halas Hawks Ladies entertained Continental and went down to an early goal. They then piled on the pressure but saw Continental score two further breakaway goals just before half time. The second half saw them again having the lion’s share of the play but failing to find the net until Gemma Colledge scored to give them hope, but Continental hung on to win 3-1.
