Friendlies
Newly formed Halas Hawks U7s North scored their first goals of
the season against Stourbridge Glassboys, Josh Hinds scoring
them both, despite him holding a defensive position. Other
creditable performances were Ben
Pedley, playing up front after
playing the first half in goal, and Owen Hodgetts who had a
solid performance in defence. Stourbridge proved to be very good
opponents and we were really pleased with the effort of all the
lads who continue to show improvement week on week.
The U7s West met
Brierley Hill Bullets and scored through Shakiel Powell and
darryl Leddington, who got man of the match for the second week
running.
The
U7s East met Withymoor West and scored goals through Thomas
Cole, Keegan Horan, Reece Willetts and Tom Powell.
Girls League
Halas Hawks 12
Withymoor 1
Halas Hawks U12s girls played some lovely football against
Withymoor and fully deserved their 12-1 win, with a double hat
trick from player of the match, Chloe Adderley, two from Lily
Atchison and one each for Phoebe Kelsall, Brodie Rumsey, Chelsea
Tague and Jo Handy.
Withymoor 1 Halas Hawks 4
The U14s girls got off to a slow start with no goals scored in
the first half. Charis Maguire scored for Halas in the second
half quickly followed by goals from Alison Dowen and Sam King.
Withymoor pulled a goal back but a fourth goal by Elisha Rose
saw a magnificient win by Halas Hawks. Oustanding performances
from Demi Bradley and endless running and commitment to the game
was shown by Jess Morton.
Boys League
Blackheath Town 1
Halas Hawks North 2
A superb first half performance saw the team do everything asked
of them. Goals from Josh Beattie and an excellent headed
corner from Jake Crackett along with a number of great saves
from keeper Jack Bingham provided a 2 - 0 half time lead. A
superb long range shot in the second half crept past a fully
stretched keeper to pull back a goal for Blackheath Town in the
second half, but some great saves by both keepers prevented any
further goals, meaning Halas take a 2 - 1 victory.
Kewford West 1 Halas Hawks East 0
Halas U9s
East travelled to Kewford West still seeking their first win of
the season, a fairly lacklustre performance by both teams
followed.
Halas didn’t really get into the game in the first half and
Kewford took the lead in the fifteenth minute from a glancing
header. Halas had the majority of the play in the second half
with Oliver Miller unlucky not to have a hat-trick. Declan
Weaver had a great game on the right hand side which won him the
Man of the Match award, but Halas came away again with no points
after failing to convert a number of chances.
Halas Hawks 8
Kingsley 3
The U11s won 8 - 3 against Kingsley Olympic with goals from
Mathew Evans (4) and one each for Jonty Round, Harry Wakeman,
Mohamed Yafai and Mohamed Mohammed and the they finished it 8-3.
Halas Hawks West
0 Halas Hawks Dynamos 7
Halas Hawks U12s West met fellow Halas side Dynamos. The West
team played good football in patches but couldn’t convert the
few chances they created and found Dynamos to be on top form.
The deadlock was broken by a goal from Alex Gardener followed by
a second from Dalmar Morrison to see the Dynamos 2-0 up at the
break. Halas West battled well throughout but found themselves
pushed even deeper in the second half and further strikes from
Dalmar Morrison, Callum Priest, Jake Saxton, Lewis Sidebottom
and James Davis completed the 7-0 scoreline to Dynamos whose man
of the match was Jake Saxton. The West’s man of the match was
awarded to Tom Welsh.
Kewford
Eagles 1 Halas Hawks 5
The
U14s East deservedly beat Kewford Eagles 5-1. On a difficult
pitch the lads stuck with their passing game and got their
rewards. Goals arrived from Kane Campbell (4) and Dan Willetts. |
