Halas Hawks East 4 Brierley Hill
Bullets 0
Halas Hawks U9s East
entertained Brierley Hill Bullets West and their performance was
stunning from the off, pegging back the Bullets for most of the
first half with Oliver Miller giving Halas a much deserved half
time lead. The second half carried on as the first finished with
Halas in control and adding three more goals through Tom Baker,
Oliver Miller and Declan Weaver with his first in Halas colours.
Men of the match were Tom Baker & Louie Jones.
Perton 3 Halas Hawks 1
The U12s West slumped to
their first defeat of 2011 in a tight game against a plucky
Perton side. Halas started well and took a deserved lead through
Ellis Meredith and although they continued to create chances,
they failed to convert them. Perton drew level before the break
and the second half was a similar story, with Halas creating
chances but not turning them into goals and being punished on
two further occasions. Man of the match went to Ryan Haycock.
Gornal Colts East 4 Halas Hawks 1
The U13s had the best of the
play against a very strong Gornal team, before conceding a goal.
Halas fought back to equalise with a goal from Jack Guest before
half time and continued to play the better football in the
second, but Gornal’s strength in depth began to show through,
seeing them go in 4-1 winners. Halas man of the match went to
goalkeeper Charlie Bagley for an outstanding display.
Halas Hawks East 1 Withymoor 0
A Josh March lob after a flowing Halas move secured a 1-0 for
the U14s East against
Withymoor Colts. In a tight game, March provided the difference
between the teams to keep Hawks second in the league.
Halas Hawks 3 Kewford 3
An even U15s game against a
strong Kewford Eagles team saw Halas three goals down with only
10 minutes gone, but a gritty fight back by Halas resulted in a
final score of 3-3 with goals from Dan Scarrett, Danny Hodges
and debutant, Joe Prosser. Man of the match went to Rhys
Edwards.
Gornal Panthers 1 Halas Hawks 3
The U16s beat Gornal
Panthers 3-1 with goals from Guy Millward, Scott Pope and Ben
Hughes.
Wombourne 0 Halas Hawks 9
The U17s continued their
unbeaten run since the beginning of November with a 9-0 win at
Wombourne, with all of the goals coming in the second half.
Halas had most of the game from the kick off but couldn’t find a
breakthrough in the first half, going in 0-0 at half time. After
a couple of changes at half time, they found the net right from
the kick off and then lay siege to Wombourne’s goal. Scorers
were Mark Perry (3), Ryan Howard (2) and one each for Anthony
Keeling, Brad Hickman, Adam Reece and goalkeeper, Charlie Price,
who scored from the penalty spot.
