Halas Ladies

Halas Ladies 1 Redditch Ladies 0
Halas Hawks Ladies were in County Cup action against Redditch Ladies, who are two divisions above, but despite having the bare 11 players, they competed well with Redditch, fully deserving their single goal win after a long range looping shot from Catherine Barratt, which left the Redditch keeper with no chance. Halas had further chances to stretch their lead whilst, stand in goalkeeper, Becks Trevis-Smith, kept out everything that Redditch could throw at her, but it was Halas who went through to the next round.

Friendlies

The U7s North played their second game and continue to show improvement with Josh having an excellent game in goal and James Thacker looking good.

The U7s East scored goals through Keegan Horan, Harry Holden, Thomas Cole and James Knight.

The U8s East scorers were Jack Plant, Harry Beasley and Aston Loynes.

Boys League

Amblecote 2 Halas Hawks West 4
A closely fought first half found Halas U9s West and Amblecote level at 1 – 1 with a goal for Halas from Nathan France. The second half brought strong play from Halas who controlled the game and a hat trick from Sam Bulmer and a consolation goal for Amblecote saw Halas continue their push to win the league with a 4-2 win.

Penn Colts 2 Halas Hawks East 1
The U9s East started strongly against Penn Colts taking the lead with a long range shot from Charlie Greening. Halas looked comfortable throughout the rest of the first half but Josh Smith had to be alert and pulled off a stunning save late in the half. Penn came more into the game in the second half and equalised early on after a scramble in the box. Halas regrouped but with three minutes to go a missed tackle in midfield let Penn play the ball out wide and from there the Penn forward struck a low shot into the opposite corner to give them a 2-1 win. Man of the match went to goalkeeper, Josh Smith.

Halas Hawks East 2 Forest Falcons West 0
The U10s East recorded a hard fought 2-0 victory over a well organised Forest Falcons side. The only goal in a fairly even first half came courtesy of Jordan Berry. Halas made the game safe midway through the second half thanks to a wonder strike from the halfway line from Oliver Downing. Halas pressed near the end but had to settle for the 2-0 win.

Halas Hawks West 3 West Hagley West 0
The U10s West started the stronger and put Hagley under pressure from the start and were only held out by some excellent goal keeping. However, Halas continued to push and opened the scoring with a long range strike from George Shingleton, giving them the lead at half time.
Halas continued to dominate the match in the second half with some fantastic football, and were rewarded with two excellent goals from Josh Beasley. Hagley made a mini revival towards the end of the match but were held out by some strong defending, giving Halas a well deserved 3-0 victory.

Netherton 0 Halas Hawks 14
The U11s ran riot against Netherton Colts scoring 14 goals without reply. Mohammed Yafai got five with the others coming from Mohammed Mohammed (4), Josh Horton (2), Ben Jeavons, Matthew Evans and Joe Wythes.

Halas Hawks 1 Kewford South 2
The U13s went ahead through Dominic Hipkiss following some great football but Kewford equalised before half time against the run of play. The second half continued in the same fashion with Halas having some great chances to go ahead and Halas keeper, Charlie Bagley, pulled off some great saves to keep Halas in it, but he was unable to keep out the penalty that saw Kewford take a 2-1 win. Man of the match went to Charlie Bagley

Withymoor East 2 Halas East 2
The U14s east drew 2-2 with Withymoor East. Halas twice took the lead through Dan Willetts, who was fantastic throughout the match, and were unlucky not to grab the win at the death.

Hasbury 0 Halas Hawks 5
The U16s met local rivals, Hasbury, in the League Cup and came away with a 5-0 win after goals from Guy Millward (2), Joe Powell (2) and Adam Hodges.

Girls League

Halas Hawks 7 Kewford 0
Halas Hawks U10s girls were evenly matched with Kewford Girls but the game finally came alive with a magical solo effort from Megan Hawley. A strong defence by Megan and Saffron Rennison saw only one shot on target by Kewford and this was firmly held by the ever confident keeper Jasmine Rennison. Further goals came from Hannah Fellows (2), Charlotte Fereday (2), Kirsty Hampton and a marvelous looping lob over the keeper from Maddison Eden, finishing the game off with a 7-0 win to Halas.

Santiago Colts 1 Halas Hawks 12

Halas Hawks 4 Withymoor 3
The U13s continued their unbeaten run with a 4-3 win over Withymoor. Despite taking a convincing lead, Halas ended the match hanging on to a narrow victory. Sophie Pritchard and Sophie Blount shared the goals and there was a vital defensive performance from Gina Goode.

Netherton 3 Halas Hawks 4
The U15 girls had a very tough encounter against a Netherton side that have begun the season well. Halas settled quicker though and went in at half time two up thanks to Liz McAleenan and Lauren Taylor. After the break Netherton rallied and went in to a 3-2 lead before player of the match, McAllenan, struck an equalizer. With ten minutes to go Kate Drew picked the ball up in her own half, rode several challenges and, from the edge of the area, hit a wonder goal that gave the visitors all three points.
