The U7s East played Netherton and
scored through Keegan Horan, Harry Holden and Connor Chater.
The U7s North met Kidderminster
Lions and goals came from Ben Pedley and Callum Redfearn with
Josh being man of the match
Boys League
C.S. Colts 1 Halas Hawks West 0
The U9s West fell to their first defeat in seven games with a
1-0 defeat away to a very well organised C.S Colts. Joshua
Wyman, Harry Williams and Sam Bulmer all went close and with
five minutes remaining, Halas failed to clear a floated cross
and C.S. Colts punished them with a neat finish. Halas pushed
for the equaliser and with minutes remaining just failed to
convert a goal mouth scramble.
Halas Hawks East 1 Wordsley North 2
The U9s East entertained Wordsley Wasps North and Rickio
Fairin-Hall put Halas into the lead with a fine right foot
strike. However Wordsley equalised from the kick off with a
great solo goal from their centre back. After half time both
teams seemed to cancel each other out but Wordsley scored again
with what proved to be the winner. Men of the match were Louie
Jones and Rickio Fairin-Hall.
Wombourne 1 Halas Hawks 1
The U11s drew 1-1 with Wombourne with Mohamed Yafai
scoring their only goal.
West Hagley South 1 Halas Hawks West 1
The U12 West’s good start to 2011 continued with a hard
earned point with a 1-1 draw against West Hagley. Hagley took
the lead early in the first half but Halas equalised before half
time.The second half was a tight affair with both teams creating
chances to take all three points but neither could convert and
the game ended with honours even. Man of the match was awarded
to goalscorer, Josh Rodgers.
Halas Hawks 1 Brierley Hill East 4
A 10 man U13s team took on high flyers Brierley Hill and
Halas were the better team in the early stages despite going in
at half time 2-1 down. The Halas lads battled superbly but
conceded another 2 goals in the second half. Halas goalscorer
was Jack Guest.
Halas Hawks 4 Wombourne 0
The u14s maintained their winning form with a 4-0 victory
against Wombourne Olympic. In tough conditions the lads tried to
keep to their passing game and thoroughly deserved their
victory. Goals arrived from Jake Walley (2), Louis Ezewele and
Dan Willetts.
Duncan Edwards 1 Halas Hawks 12
Despite only fielding ten men, the U15s had a fantastic
result beating Duncan Edwards 12-1. Goals came from Lewis
Hatfield (4), Rhys Edwards (2), Jamie Nicholls, Alex Theodosi,
Danny Hodges, and a hat trick by man of the match, goalkeeper
James Andrews!
Halas Hawks 7 Brirley Hill 2
The U16s had a comfortable 7-2 win over Brierley Hill Bullets
with goals coming from man of the match,Tom Stevens (3), Scott
Pope (2), Guy Millward and Alex Chappell.
Girls League
Halas Hawks 7 Santiago Colts 1
Halas Hawks U12s girls created numerous chances against
Santiago Colts but only had two goals to show for it by half
time thanks to goals from Abigail Gennard and Amy Plimmer. The
second half began in the same vein with Halas scoring further
goals through Plimmer (2), Bethan Bryan and Lucy and Sophie
Heaselgrave.
Wordsley Wasps 0 Halas Hawks 4
The U15 girls started very strongly but it took about 20
minutes before they finally had the ball in the back of the net.
A great ball across the goalmouth saw player of the match, Chloe
Biddleston, score from a very tight angle. The second came a few
minutes later from Rhianne Murray. In the second half Wordsley
had a few chances but keeper Livi Woollams was in no mood to
concede a goal and the match was wrapped up with Liz McAleenan
and Lauren Taylor both scoring.

Halas Hawks Ladies 4 Kewford Eagles Ladies

Halas Hawks ladies entertained Kewford Eagles, looking to retain
their top place spot, but after early pressure from the
visitors, it was no surprise when they took an early lead. With
the advantage of the wind and the slope, Kewford could have gone
further ahead but for two excellent fingertip saves for Gemma
Scriven, but it was Gemma College who equalised for Halas from a
corner. The second half saw Halas take control, winning the game
4-1 with a brace from Katy Monk and another long range left foot
shot from College.
