Halas Hawks U7s East played Halas Hawks North who were playing
their first ever game and put up a very creditable performance.
Scorers in the game were Harry Holden, Thomas Cole, Keegan Horan
and Tom Powell.
Girls League
Halas Hawks
7 Gilbert Girls 1
Halas Hawks U10s girls met met Gilbert Girls and within two
minutes they scored a contender for goal of the season, with
Kirsty Hampton hitting a long range strike from outside the
penalty area which soared into the top right corne. Sustained
pressure from the Halas team resulted in a 5-1 first half lead and
it was much the same in the second half as they commanded the
second half ending the game as 7-1 winners, cementing themselves
equal top of the league. Heather Moreton came on late in the
second half to make her debut as an out field player. Goalscorers
were Hannah Fellows (3), Charlotte Fereday (2) and Kirsty Hampton
(2).

4 Wordsley Wasps 1
The U15 girls got their first win of the season with a fantastic
display against their neighbours Wordsley Wasps. The first half
was a very tight affair but Halas began to exert some pressure and
from a corner, Katie Hickman gave Halas the lead. Wordsley then
got an equaliser but in the second half Halas stepped up the pace
and were rewarded with goals from Lauren Taylor, Kate Drew &
player of the match, Kate Hunnisett, to give them a 4-1 win.

CS Colts 5
Halas Hawks East 1
Halas Hawks U9s East travelled to CS Colts to play their first
competitive League Cup fixture. The game started at 100mph with
neither team settling down, but CS Colts took the lead with a fine
strike from the edge of the box. Halas came back however with a
fine long range strike from Oliver Miller. Just before half time
however a lapse cost Halas and put CS Colts 2 - 1 up at the break.
CS went on to deservedly win 5-1. Man of the match went to Declan
Weaver with a committed display on the right side of midfield.
Wrens
Nest 1 Halas Hawks West 2
Wrens Nest started the stronger against the U10s West playing some
good attacking football, which put Halas under pressure from the
start and gave them a 1-0 lead at half time. Halas came out
fighting in the second half playing some fantastic attacking
football and got back into the game with a well worked goal
finished by man of the match Jack Bissell. Halas continued to
control the match with some excellent football resulting in
another well worked goal finished by Josh Beasley, which secured a
well deserved 2-1 win.
Netherton East 0 Halas Hawks East 6.
The U10s East enjoyed a 6-0 win in the 1st round of the cup
against a Netherton side who had only conceded one goal before
this game. Halas opened the scoring early on through Jayden
Wyman's deflected shot. Joshua Parsons tapped in his first from
close range before Jordan Ward added a third. Ollie Downing
continued the Halas Hawks dominance with the fourth. Jayden
Harnett capped a good performance with a goal midway through the
second period before Josh Parsons wrapped up a fine team display
netting late on.

Dynamos 6 Rio Saints 0
Halas U12s Dynamos probed from the first whistle against Rio
Saints, but had to wait until the 27' to take the lead with a deft
lob from Lewis Bryan. Continued pressure in the second half and a
string of excellent attacking moves from Halas resulting in goals
for Dalmar Morrison 2, Jake Saxton, Callum Priest and Jack Blunt
in a 6-0 win. The whole team were awarded the man of the match
award for their best display of the season so far.

West 2 Old Wulfrunians 5
The U12s West pushed league leaders, Old Wulfrunians, all the way,
but once again came away without anything to show for all their
effort and commitment. Halas twice came behind with goals from
Dylon Keeling and Cameron Milne, but went down 5-2. Man of the
match went to Jack Willetts.

Hawks 4 Trysull Tigers 8
Halas went one down within the first minute, but equalised through
Sam Hamilton. Halas then went 2 - 1 up with Liam Holmes scoring.
Trysull hit back hard going in 5-2 before the break.
After the break Liam Holmes made it 5-3 before Trysull made it
7-3. Dan Jennings scored a consolation goal 5 minutes from time,
and the match ended 8-4 with Trysull scoring a penalty from the
last kick of the game. Man of the match Deon Patel.
Gornal 3 Halas Hawks 2
The U14s gave away a 2-1 lead to lose 3-2 at top placed Gornal.
After a superb first half full of skill and slick passing, the
lads ran out of steam after the break. A point may have been fair
but Halas can have no complaints after a lacklustre second half.
The Hawks goals arrived from a Josh March penalty and a brave Kane
Campbell header.

The U16s had a comfortable 4-0 win against Oldswinford with goals
from man of the match, Guy Millward, Alex Capel and two from Joe
Powell. |
