Halas Hawks U8s
East entertained Warstone Wanderers
Pumas and a really good
match from both teams followed with Halas playing some of their
best football this season. Goals came from Morgan Rogers 2,
Joshua Yorke 2, Tom Baker 1 and Charlie Greening 1. Man of the
match went to goalkeeper Josh Smith who had a great game after
what was practiced in training the day before.
Girls League
Dudley United 0 Halas
Hawks 5
A commanding performance by Halas in this U11s League cup match
saw them hit five past Dudley, with Francesca Hancox (2), Bethan
Bryan, Louise Tromans and Lucy Heaselgrave on the scoresheet.
The win was built on a strong defensive performance, with Esme
Moran and Chloe Gregg shining.
Halas Hawks 0 Kewford South 5
An early goal from Kewford South put the U12s on the back foot,
but they battled valiantly against the league leaders, going
into half time two down. Two further goals and an own goal in
the dying minutes saw Kewford take the match. Some fantastic
saves by Ciara Robinson-Morris prevented a much higher Kewford
scoreline.
Halas Hawks 4
Kinver 1
A workmanlike performance was put in by the U14 girls against a
tough Kinver side. Chloe Biddlestone opened the scoring and then
provided a great through-ball to set up Sophie Kinsey for her
first of the season. Kinver pulled one back only for Rhianne
Murray to restore the two goal lead. The win was topped off with
a terrific volley from a corner by Kate Drew. Player of the
match was Lauren Taylor.
Halas Hawks 8
Pensnett 1
The U16s went on a goal spree against Pensnett winning 8-1.
Rebekah Trevis-Smith netted five with the others coming from
Tash Berry (2) and Laura Tomlinson. There were excellent
defensive performances from Sophie Leak and Amy Wall.
Boys League
Halas Hawks 2 Brierley Hill Bullets West 1
A Joshua Beasley brace saw the U9s West through to the next
round of the cup after a 2-1 win against Brierley Hill Bullets
West. The Bullets keeper made some fine saves in the second half
to keep them in the game, denying Callum Hudson and Josh Parsons
twice. Bullets pulled a goal back but Halas held on to progress
to the next round.
Halas 6 Cobras 1
The U10s West got a flying start against Cobras with early goals
from man of the match Daniel Grogan and Joseph Wythes. Halas
made it 4-0 through Harry Wakeman and Joel Wyer before Cobras
pulled one back in the second half, but Halas finished strongly
scoring another two goals from Mohamed Yafai and Wyer.
Gornal Colts 3 Halas Hawks East 3 (Gornal win on Pens)
A close cup game between the U10s and Gornal saw the lead
change regularly. An inspired display by the Gornal keeper kept
Halas at bay for most of the match. A solid performance by Halas
and goals from Lewis Wilkin-Williams (2) and man of the match
Kieran Stanford nearly clinched it, but after a 3-3 draw, Halas
went out on penaltys.
Kingswinford 0 Halas Dynamos 13
Halas enjoyed a comprehensive victory against Kingswinford
thanks to a splendid display of passing football. Halas created
chance after chance with the man of the match Jordan Boffey
pulling the strings in centre midfield. Goalscorers were Dalmar
Morrison 4, Jack Blunt 4, Josh Wheeler 2, Connor Smith 1, Jordan
Boffey 1 and Lewis Sidebottom 1.
Halas Hawks 2 Gornal Colts 1
Ten man U11s West progressed into the next round against a
spirited Gornal side. Halas were pushed all the way but came
through with goals from Matt Jones and leading scorer Cameron
Milne.
Castle
Youth 3 Halas Hawks 2
The U13s East were terribly unlucky to lose 3-2 to Castle Youth.
Goals came from Kane Campbell and Josh Ezewele.
Thimblemill 1

after going a goal down, they pulled back to win 3-1 with goals
from Dominic Hipkiss (2) and Jack Guest.
