The U7s West put
seven goals past Newbridge Rangers. Harvey Brookes got four and
Anthony Andreou got a hat trick. Man of the match went to Robert
Pilling.
The U8s East
scored five against Kewford Eagles South with man of the match,
Josh Willetts getting a hat trick, and Louis Jones and Morgan
Rogers one each.
Girls League
Halas Hawks 4
Kewford Eagles 1
In their first game of the year, Halas Hawks ran out 4-1 winners
in this U11's girls Merit Shield match against Kewford.
Outstanding defensive work from Esme Moran and Mia Davies set
the platform with Sophie Heaselgrave (2), Lucy Heaselgrave and
Abigail Gennard notching the goals.
Wordsley Wasps 2
Halas Hawks 2
The U14s started their game against Wordsley superbly going two
goals up in the first 25 minutes courtesy of Rhianne Murray and
Lauren Taylor. Unfortunately they were then forced into several
changes through injury and couldn’t prevent Wordsley equalising
just before the final whistle. Player of the match was Rhianne
Murray.

Kewford 2
The game between the U16s and Kewford was an even affair until
the final 10 minutes when Halas turned up the heat to take the
lead. There were good performances from goalkeeper, Sophie Round
and Amy Wall, whilst Tash Berry and Rebekah Trevis-Smith scored
two each in a 4-2 win.
Boys League

Dynamos 5
Both Halas U11s teams met each other in the South Staffs cup
which saw the West team take the lead but the Dynamos hit back
to make the final score 5-2 to the Dynamos. The West scorers
were Cameron Milne and Alex Goode and the Dynamos scorers were
Connor Smith, Joe Sigley and a hat-trick for Dynamos man of the
match, Jake Saxton.

Trysull 4
The
U12s entertained Trysull who went 4-0 up before Halas fought
back to score two goals through Kane Griffiths-York to make the
final score 4-2. There was a good debut from Sam Hamilton but
man of the match went to Harjeet Andev.
Pershore 3 Halas Hawks 2
The U15s lost 3-2 at Pershore with James Harper getting both
goals.
Halas Hawks 4
Kingswinford 3
The U16s welcomed Kingswinford in a game that was always going
to be a tense and tactical match with both teams pushing for the
promotion spots. At half time Halas were 2-1 up, the goals
coming from Luke Sadler and inform striker, Marc Perry.
Kingswinford fought back and with only 15 minutes left Halas
found themselves 3-2 down, but they never gave up and showed
tremendous character, getting the reward they deserved with
further goals from Ryan Howard and Marc Perry to make the final
score 4-3 to Halas. Man of the match was awarded to Ryan Tether
for his towering performance in the centre of defence. |
