Friendlies
The U7s West met Withymoor. Harvey Brookes
got on the score sheet with Sam Wood getting man of the match.
The U8s East
travelled to Kewford North and a good game on a small heavy
pitch followed. Halas goals came from Morgan Rogers (2) and
Charlie Greening. Man
of
the
match went
to Thomas Baker after
a strong display at the back.
Girls League
Withymoor Colts 1
Halas Hawks 1
The spoils were shared in this U11s league cup game against
Withymoor. Halas created the better chances in the first half
only to find themselves one down at half-time. Lucy Heaselgrave
equalised early in the second half, but despite creating
numerous further openings, Halas just couldn't find a winner.
Halas Hawks 5 Worcester
City 2
The girls got back into winning
ways with this fantastic victory over Worcester . First off the
mark was Katie Hickman who ran down the left wing , cut in ,
then slotted the ball passed the keeper with a whoop of delight
for her first goal of the season . Next on the score sheet was
Megan Ingram who ran onto a through ball and calmly put it away
. Worcester then rallied and got one back but further goals from
Rhianne Murray (2) and Lauren Taylor in the second half ensured
victory . A great achievement with no subs due to illness .
Player of the match was keeper Kate Duffy .
Withymoor 4 Halas
Hawks 1
Despite the U16s taking the lead through Rebekah Trevis-Smith,
Withymoor made it all square at half time. Halas then failed to
make the most of their chances and were punished with three well
taken goals from Withymoor to make the final score 4-1.
Boys League
Halas 2 SW Lions 4
The U10s West got off to a slow start against Sedgley and from a
corner, they conceded an own goal. Halas got the equalizer with
a great left foot shot from Shannon Stamps, but Sedgley scored
two more in the second half before Shannon Stamps pulled back
another to keep Halas in the running. Man of the match,
goalkeeper Joseph Wythes pulled off some excellent saves but it
was Sedgley who made certain of the points with a fourth goal.
Trysull 4 Halas Dynamos 6
The U11s Dynamos took part in what has to go down as one of the
best games ever in a truly great advert for youth football in
this clash with Trysull. Halas were quickly out the blocks and
dominated the midfield with some splendid play in a one sided
first half to go in at the interval 3-0 up. Trysull were
dangerous with the long ball over the top which led to three
goals in four minutes to reduce the arrears. Halas composed
themselves and the football flowed again with three more
cracking team goals. Trysull managed to score a late consolation
in a 6-4 win for Halas. Goalscorers were Dalmar Morrison (2),
Jordan Boffey (2), Alex Gardener and man of the match, Jack
Blunt.
Halas Hawks 3 Badsey 0
The U15s were at home to Badsey Rangers and had a comfortable
3-0 win with Kieron Mickelduff getting two and Chris Swancott
the third. |
