Halas Hawks U8s East
The U8s East entertained Legion Lions East and a really good game
from both teams followed. Halas goals came from Charlie Greening
(2), one of which was a fine header from a Morgan Rogers cross
from a long pass out of defence from Louie Jones. The other came
from Joshua Yorke. Man of the match went to Louie Jones with
another fine performance.
Boys League
Halas Dynamos 4 Dudley Juniors 1
Halas Hawks Dynamos U11s put in another superb performance to
take their run to seven games without defeat with a 4-1 win over
Dudley Juniors. It was a brilliant team display that helped to
comfortably see off strong opponents. Goalscorers were Connor
Smith (2), Alex Gardener and Jack Blunt. Man of the match went
to Jake Saxton.
Halas Hawks 1 Wordsley Wasps 4
The U11s West lost 4-1 to Wordsley Wasps with their consolation

Hagley West 1
Halas Hawks 0
The U16s visited Hagley West and dominated the game, creating
the better chances, but neither team could find a first half
goal. The second half followed the same pattern with Halas
pushing forward and making the better chances but unfortunately,
they conceded a penalty late into the game giving Hagley a 1-0
win. Man of the match went to new signing, Peter Jacob, for a
most impressive performance in midfield.
Girls
League
Withymoor 0 Halas
Hawks 7

Adderley getting a hat trick. The others came from Bilie Jo
Handy (2) Brodie Rumsey and player of the match, Lily Atchison.
Halas Hawks 2 Dudley United 1
This enthralling U11s league match saw Halas come out on top
against Dudley Utd thanks to some resolute defending and two
goals from Sophie Heaselgrave giving them a 2-1 win.
Gornal Girls 2 Halas Hawks 5
The U12s delivered a convincing 5-2 win over Gornal with a hat
trick from Amy Blakemore and a brace from Sophie Blount. There
were also impressive debuts for Olivia Tandy and Bryony Hackett.
Halas 8 Withymoor 0
The U13s went into an early lead against Withymoor with a goal
from Alison Dowen, which was quickly followed by a goal from
Laura Smith. More goals followed from Charlotte Little, Elisha
Rose, Jessica Morton and two from Charis Maguire and a second
goal in the closing minutes of the game by Alison Dowen to make
the final score 8-0. Goalkeeper, Demi Bradley, made some crucial
saves.
Droitwich Spa Lions 3 Halas Hawks 0
The U14 girls put on a great display against Droitwich despite
being under strength. Unfortunately the luck was on the home
team’s side on this occasion and a 3-0 defeat in no way
reflected on what an even game it was. Player of the match was
Megan Ingram.
Leafield 9 Halas Hawks 2
In this Birmingham County Cup game, the U16s were up against the
favourites, Leafield Athletic, a very strong team who normally
compete against the likes of Coventry City and Derby, so a 9-2
defeat was not unexpected. But the Halas girls did a brilliant
job and actually took the lead through Tash Berry, with Rebekah
Trevis- Smith getting a late second goal.
Halas
Hawks Ladies 4 Leamington 3
For the second match running, Halas Ladies went into the half
time interval two goals behind, but improved their performance
in the second half. Shortly after the break Jenny Watkins hit a
stunning volley, from a wide angle, to bring Halas back into the
game. Almost instantly, a lapse of concentration allowed
Leamington to re-establish their two goal lead. However, Halas
didn't let their heads drop and came from behind to win the game
4-3, with another strike from Watkins and a brace for Katie
Monk.
