Halas U8's
East travelled to Wordsley Wasps and a good team performance
followed - Keeper Josh Smith had an excellent game and Charlie
Greening kept up his run of scoring a goal in all games played.
Man of the Match Morgan Rogers had a fine game playing all over the pitch
and scored with two good strikes.
Boys
League
Withymoor Colts 0 Halas West 2
It was a very close game between the U10s West and Withymoor
with few chances but eventually a poachers goal from Joseph
Wythes gave Halas the lead. It was all one way from there with
man of the match Harry Wakeman winning much of the midfield
battle and a brilliant solo goal from Joel Wyer sealing a 2-0
win,
Halas East 2 Phoenix 2
The first half started brightly with an early goal for the U10s
East against Phoenix, Jordan Cronin scoring direct from a
corner. A couple of quick goals for Phoenix put Halas on the
back foot but they started the second half brightly and a great
strike by Josh Garbett saw Halas draw level. From then there was
only one team in it and Halas were unlucky not to get all three
points.

Halas Dynamos 6 Bearwood Sports 2
The U11s Dynamos started against Bearwood very well and after
continued pressure took the lead. Halas continued to push for a
second goal but got caught on the counter attack on the stroke
of half time to come in level at the break. Bearwood then took
the lead but Halas continued to pass the ball around well to hit
back with five splendid goals to record a 6-2 win. Goal scorers
were Josh Wheeler (3), Jake Saxton, Jack Blunt and Jordon Boffey,
with the man of the match award going to Lewis Sidebottom.
Withymoor 1 Halas 2
The U12s met Withymoor and put their recent poor form behind
them with a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Kane Griffiths-York and
Deon Patel, who also took the man of the match award.
Kewford 2 Halas Hawks 5
The U13s east made it two wins on the trot by winning 5-2 at
Kewford Eagles. Goals arrived from Kane Campbell, Dan Willetts,
Josh Ezewele, Macauley Totney and an excellent curling shot from
Tom Wickstead.
Halas Hawks 5 Perrywoods 1
An excellent result from the U14 against Perrywoods, who made
the early running, but hard work and determination came through
for Halas with goals from Danny Hodges, Lewis Hatfield, Daniel
Scarrett and a brace from Luke Patton giving them a 5-1 win. Man
of the match went to Dominic Potter.
Halas Hawks 4 Warley 6
The U16s paid the price for a slow start with Warley going
into the half time break with a 3-0 lead.Halas were awarded a
penalty early in the second half, which was coolly put away by
Alex Dudley and then Halas pulled it back to 3-3 with goals by
Edward Leeson and a second penalty, again put away by Dudley.
Warley scored a fourth but Halas pulled one back through Antony
Keeling before losing their concentration conceding two late
goals in a 6-4 defeat.
Girls League
Gornal 3 Halas Hawks 2
The U10s girls went two up against Gornal through Lily Atchison
and Brodie Rumsey but were unable to maintain the pressure and
lost 3-2. Player of the match went to Billie-Jo Handy.
Gornal 1 Halas Hawks 2
This entertaining U11 match saw Halas come out on top in a 2-1
win over Gornal with goals by Lucy Heaselgrave and Louise
Tromans. The win was ensured however by a fantastic team effort.
Halas Hawks 1 Tipton 3
A strong start by the U12s but it was Tipton who opened the
scoring. Amy Blakemore equalised for Halas minutes later.
However Tipton managed to put another two away to make the final
score 3-1.
Withymoor 8 Halas Hawks 0
An understrength U14s were up against it against a Withymoor
side that are undefeated this season. But the team kept going
until the final whistle with Kate Drew, Lauren Taylor and player
of the match, Megan Ingram, all going very close but not
managing to score in an 8-0 defeat.
Pensnett 0 Halas Hawks 3
With their team back up to full strength and with new signing
Amy Wall making her debut, the U16s displayed their best
football of the season in the first half of their game against
Pensnett going into the break two up with goals from Shanice
Mayers and Rebekah Trevis-Smith. In the closing stages, Trevis-Smith
made sure of a 3-0 win with her second goal. |
