Friendlies
Halas U7s East travelled to Hasbury Rangers where Aston Loynes
scored their goal.
Halas U8s East entertained Halesowen Town Colts and scored four
goals through Morgan Rogers (2) and man of the match Joshua
Willetts (2), who had a good strong performance up front.
Girls League
Halas Hawks 1 Withymoor Colts 2
Halas Hawks U11s lost their unbeaten record in this evenly
contested Merit Shield game against Withymoor Colts with Lucy
Heaselgrave's late strike proving just a consolation.
Kewford
Eagles North 4 Halas Hawks 3
The U12s went down to Kewford in a hard fought game despite a
hat trick from Amy Blakemore.
Gornal 3 Halas Hawks 4
A poor start by the U13s saw them go down by two goals to Gornal
in the first twenty minutes. A goal by Elisha Rose put Halas
back in the game only to see Gornal extend their lead, but a
great goal by Jess Morton, and Elisha Rose completing her hat
trick, saw Halas win the game 4-3. There were exceptional
performances by Jess Morton and Charlotte Little.
Boys League
Halas Dynamos 1 Old Wulfrunians 1
Despite not being at full strength, Halas Dynamos dominated the
game, but unfortunately had to settle for a point courtesy of a
neat Joe Sigley goal. Matters were made worse when a goal bound
shot stopped in the mud on the goal line with the keeper beaten.
The point was enough to see Halas rise to 4th position in their
debut season in Division 1. Man of the match was Luke Crowther.
Phoenix 5 Halas Hawks 1
The U12s lost 5-1 to a strong Phoenix side with their
consolation goal scored by Connor Leak. Man of the match went to
Charlie Bagley who pulled off some excellent saves including one
from a penalty.
Withymoor
3 Halas Hawks East 2
The U13s East were unfortunate to lose to the odd goal in five
away to Withymoor Colts West. After taking an early lead through
Tom Wickstead, Hawks were sloppy at the back and allowed
Withymoor to equalise. Hawks goalkeeper, Ryan Taylor, was
injured early in the second half and defender Joe Kelly replaced
him between the sticks. Poor ball retention and sloppy defending
cost Hawks in the second half and despite a fine Kane Campbell
header Hawks went on to lose 3-2. |
