Friendlies
The U7s West met Oldswinford and in a very close game, Harvey
Brookes scored a hat trick, which also earned him the man of the
match award.
Halas U8s East
travelled to Himley CC to play an unbeaten Kewford Eagles East.
A performance of the season followed with every one of the seven
players contributing in a very competitive game. Both Halas
goals came from man of the match, Morgan Rogers.
Girls League
Withymoor
Colts 4 Halas Hawks 3
This end to end U11s Merit Shield match against Withymoor saw
Halas lose out by the odd goal in seven. Amy Plimmer (2) and
Lucy Heaselgrave, who also hit the post, scored the goals for
Halas.

Kinver Colts 2
A close game was contested between the U14s and Kinver in the
cup . Halas went two up in the first half courtesy of Liz
McAleenan and Chloe Biddlestone. But after the break Kinver came
out fighting and levelled the scores. Halas then had to dig deep
and came out eventual winners with another goal each from the
first half scorers. Player of the match was Rebecca Ingram.
Willenhall 1 Halas
Hawks 6
The U16s girls finished 2009 on a high with a 6-1 win against
Willenhall, strengthening their assault on the league title.
There was a dominating midfield performance from Sophie Leak who
scored alongside Rebekah Trevis-Smith (2), Shanice Mayers, Tash
Berry and Amy Wall, scoring her first Halas goal.
Boys League
Wombourne 2 Halas 3
A great goal from Daniel Grogan gave the U10s West a deserved
lead against Wombourne. Shannon Stamps put them two up and then
goalkeeper, James Churchill, converted a penalty to give Halas a
3-0 lead. Wombourne kept going and scored two late goals but
failed to gat an equalizer. Man of the match went to William
Deeley.
Rio
Saints 1 Halas Hawks West 2
The U11 West’s good cup form continued with a hard fought win
over gutsy opponents, Rio Saints. Both teams gave their all from
the first whistle to the last and were a credit to their
respective clubs. Cameron Milne again showed his class in front
of goal with both goals in a 2-1 win, but it was another
excellent all round team performance.

Dynamos 1 Kewford North 2
The U11s Dynamos lost 2-1 in the league cup to the defending
champions, Kewford North, but came away taking all the plaudits
after dominating proceedings throughout. Two goal line
clearances and a host of missed chances cost Halas dear with
Jake Saxton getting their goal.

Hawks 1 Netherton 3
The U12s lost 3-1 to Netherton Colts East with Kane
York-Griffiths hitting their goal. Jack Bagley got man of the
match.

Hawks 0 Netherton Colts 0
An exciting U14s league cup tie was played between Halas and
Netherton. The game was end to end excitement with 110%
commitment shown by the home team. At the end of full time and
extra times, the game was goaless but in the following penalty
shootout, three fine saves from James Andrews and two great
strikes from Rhys Edwards and Dominic Potter put Halas
deservedly through to the next round. Man of the match was
Daniel Scarrett. |
