Girls League

Halas Hawks East 0 Dudley United 0
Halas won 3-2 on penalties.
Following a thoroughly entertaining end to end game, this U10's League Cup Final saw the U10s East in their second penalty shoot out in as many weeks, with the game finishing scoreless after extra time. Unlike the previous one however, they kept their nerve to deservedly take the Cup! The main match was notable for some excellent performances from Ffion Jones, Mia Davies, who scored the winning penalty, Louise Tromans, Abigail Gennard and player of the match Shannon Stamps.

Gornal South 0 Halas Hawks West 2
Gornal South gave a great performance against the U10s West and defended their goal well. The first goal came when Charlotte Davies blasted home a lovely through ball from Jessie Garfield. Charlotte Davies also scored the second goal to make the final score 2-0. This was an entertaining game of football from both teams with some excellent saves from the Halas goalkeeper, Laura Cartwright.

Angels 1 Halas Hawks 6
The U13s booked themselves a place in the Merit Shield final with this 6-1 win over Angels. It took just ten seconds for Halas to take the lead through Lauren Taylor. Further goals came from Elizabeth McAleenan, Megan Ingram (2), Rhianne Murray and a second from player of the match, Lauren Taylor.

Hillcrest Girls 1 Halas Hawks East 2
The U16s East came out as 2-1 winners in this thrilling top of the table clash, played in competitive spirit between the two teams. Kirsty Houston broke the deadlock, to give Halas the lead, with ten minutes of the game remaining. Hillcrest then piled on the pressure, before equalising with one minute to play. The Halas girls didn't let their heads drop and fought back to earn a corner, two minutes into injury time, from which Kirsty headed the winner. Goalkeeper, Elizabeth Cullwick, kept Halas in the game with some excellent saves.

Halas Hawks West 6 Pensnett Panthers 2
Against the run of play, Pensnett took an early lead but the U16s West replied almost immediately and they gradually took control against spirited opposition. Pascall Windross scored her first hat-trick showing some brilliant individual skills. Others on target were Shanice Mayers, Jade Blount and Katie Wilkes in a 6-2 win.

Boys League

Halas Hawks West 1 Wordsley Wasps 1
|The U9s West went out with a positive attitude against Wordsley Wasps and knew it would be a tough match. They started very well with some great defensive work, but it was Wordsley who scored the first goal. Halas kept their heads up and James Churchill stepped up to score the equalizer from a stunning free-kick which flew into the top corner. Man of the match went to Adam Dethridge.

Penn Colts North 0 Halas Dynamos 9.
Halas produced an exhibition of football in a 9-0 victory over Penn Colts North. The goalscorers were Jordan Boffey (2), Jake Saxton (2), Reece Colley (2), Josh Wheeler (2), and Jack Blunt. The man of the match award went to Alex Gardener.

Halas Hawks 1 Kewford North 1
Halas battled their way to a much deserved point with a 1-1 draw against the league leaders, Kewford North. Cameron Milne put Halas in front but Kewford levelled soon afterwards. Again Halas’ effort and commitment were excellent.

Halas Hawks 4 Wombourne 0
The U11s entertained Wombourne and were one up at half time through Adam Baker, but a second half hat trick from Jack Guest gave them a 4-0 win. Man of the match went to Deon Patel.

Gornal 3 Halas Hawks 1
The U12s East lost 3-1 in the South Staffs cup quarter final to Gornal Colts. Goal scorer Josh Ezewele was also awarded man of the match.

Friendlies

The game started a couple of minutes too early for the Hawks West team who found themselves a goal down very early on. However, they began to control the game almost immediately afterwards. Goals came from George Silk, Josh Wyman and Farren Brown, who was also named as Man of the Match.
