Halas
Hawks East 4 Gornal North 3
Despite having to play on a quagmire of a pitch, the U10s East
took control in their match against Gornal North through some
excellent passing, and scored three unanswered goals in the first
half through Amy Plimmer, Shannon Stamps and Francesca Hancox. The
second half started in the same fashion but two breakaway goals by
Gornal caused some consternation before another flowing move
resulted in Amy grabbing her second. Gornal managed to grab a
third before the end but Halas ran out worthy winners.
Dudley United 4 Halas Hawks West 1
Dudley could
only field six players against the U10s West but despite this,
both teams started well. Dudley took the lead with an unfortunate
own goal and Halas then struggled to get into the game with Elinor
Atkinson scoring their only goal.
Kewford
Eagles South 3 Halas Hawks 1
The U11s had a hard fought battle on a bitterly cold and muddy
pitch against Kewford, who opened the scoring in the second half.
Amy Blakemore equalised for Halas minutes later. However Kewford
came back strongly making the final score 3-1.
Pensnett 1 Halas Hawks 4
The U16s West never looked back after Sophie Leak score in the
first minute of their match against Pensnett Panthers. Pascal
Windross, Shanice Mayers and Tash Berry were the other scorers in
a 4-1 win. There was a creditable performance from Laura Tomlinson
in defence.

the game.
