Halas Hawks 5
Burlish 0
Halas Hawks first silverware of the season went to the U14s who
entertained third place Burlish, Goals from Sam Dickens (2), Chris
Swancott, Guy Millward and Ben Hughes sealed the Stourport League
division two title. The players have played some great football
all season and are worthy league champions.
Halas Hawks West 2
West Hagley 1
The U10s West won a hard fought game against West Hagley. Halas
fully deserved their
victory and if they had taken their chances could have won by a
greater margin. The goals were scored by man of the match, Matt
Jones, and Luke Groves
Halas Dynamos 6 Rio
Saints 0
The U10s Dynamos were on top form and dominated the first half
against Rio Saints, but came in scoreless at the break. The team
kept up the relentless pressure and got their rewards in the
second half with goals from Jordan Boffey, scoring twice on his
debut, Reece Colley (2), .Alex Gardener and Jack Blunt, also
scoring on his debut and picking up the man of the match award.
West Hagley
0 Halas Hawks 4
The U11s
traveled to West Hagley where goals from Kane Yorke (2), Connor
Leak and Adam Baker gave them a well deserved victory.

Phoenix Youth 1
The U15s played a very strong Phoenix team with both teams having
one eye on promotion. A tense first half went Phoenix's way going
in 1-0 at half time. The second half was all Halas pressure
resulting in a penalty, which Alex Dudley converted to make the
final score 1-1. Man of the match went to Callum Ashton for a
towering performance in the defence.

Halas Hawks West 1
Dudley 0
A super performance was put on by all the Halas Hawks West U10s in
the Merit Shield semi final. Dudley fought hard with several shots
on target but the goal keeping skills of Laura Cartwright helped
Halas to a 1 - 0 win, with the goal coming from Katie Hope. A well
deserved win for Halas West.
Kewford 2 Halas 2
Halas found themselves one down in the first minute of this
U10 Merit Shield Semi-Final against Kewford. Shannon Stamps
grabbed the equalizer before half time, just as Halas started to
take control. The second half saw a thunderbolt from Abigail
Gennard to put Halas in the lead but in the dying minutes, Kewford
leveled and with no further score in extra time, the tie was
decided on penalties, with Kewford taking the honours.

Withymoor 0
The U11s opened the scoring in this Merit Shield group match with
an 8th minute goal on a bitterly cold and blustery Dell
stadium. A deflection saw Halas move two goals clear by half time
and they dominated the second half. Goals came from a hat trick by
Georgia Hanson, Jessica O'sullivan (2) and Amy Blakemore.

Ferndale 0
The U12s went into the lead against Ferndale when Jess Morton laid
the ball to Danielle Lawrence who converted. Possession stayed
with Halas for much of the first half and Hannah Sharkey took the
ball out of defence to score a brilliant goal. Hannah then went on
to score an outstanding third goal from outside the box. Paige
Dudley had a good game skillfully blocking the Ferndale attack.
Wordsley 1 Halas
Hawks 2
The U13s secured a place in the league cup final with this win
against a team who have improved greatly over the last few months.
It was Wordsley who took the lead when a shot was deflected into
the goal. Halas then put a lot of pressure on their opponent’s
goal but were unable to score before half time. It took a great
strike just after the restart by Lauren Taylor with a second from
Katie Hickman to seal the win. Player of the match was Sophie
Kinsey.
Halas Hawks
West 8 Withymoor East 0
The U16 West completely controlled their game against Withymoor
East, taking the lead after only four minutes. Shanice Mayers went
on the rampage, finding her early season form with an outstanding
display of corners and scoring five of the goals. It was a great
team effort all round. Others on target were Katie Wilkes (2) and
Sophie Leak, making the final score 8 – 0.

Kingswinford 1
The U16s East girls produced an excellent second half performance
to seal victory against a strong Kingswinford team. The first half
started with Jenny Watkins giving Halas an early lead. However,
Kingswinford drew level shortly before half time. In the second
half Halas re-established their lead through Kirsty Houston with
new signing, Gemma Colledge, creating goals for Rebekah Trevis-Smith
and Kirsty Houston. Lydia Bradley sealed the victory with a superb
free kick from just outside the box.
Friendlies
Halas Hawks U7's
East travelled to Kewford Eagles North. From start to finish all
off the players put in a very strong performance and all of their
practice in training paid off. Five of the goals scored came from
some really good passing play. Scorers were Morgan Rodgers 5,
Charlie Greening 2, Nathan Read & Louie Jones. Man of the match
went to the ever improving goalkeeper Josh Smith.
An
entertaining game saw Halas West U7s play some good football
against Withymoor Tigers with a lot of passing and moving. Halas'
goals were scored by Ben Vine and George Silk. Excellent
performances by Sam Robinson and Josh Matthews in goal, with man
of the match going to Cavan Smart. |
