A great performance from goalie Josh Williams kept the U7's West
in the game early on with a string of fine saves. Then three goals
in quick succession from George silk (1) and William Rowley (2)
gave Halas a commanding first half lead.
Although showing plenty of commitment and hard work, the second
half proved difficult with Lightwood clawing three goals back to
earn themselves a draw.

Halas
Hawks West 3 Netherton Colts 3
A close game between the U8s West and Netherton, with both teams

half, but Halas came back strongly with a goal from Josh Parsons,
to finish the half 1-1.
Halas took control of the game in the second half and with some
excellent defending from Adam Banks and two early goals from Josh
Parsons and Josh Beasley, Halas went 3-1 up. However, whilst
pushing to put the game beyond reach Halas left themselves open at
the back, giving Netherton the opportunity to score two quick
goals finishing the game 3-3. Man of the Match - Adam Banks.

great all round performance with Halas being made to fight hard

Halas Hawks 3
The U12s battled against tough opposition, especially as they were
a player short. Elisha Rose scored a brilliant goal in the first
half followed up by two goals from Beth Sharkey. The second
half saw Halas playing well as a team using lots of skill but went
down 7-3.
Wordsley Wasps 1 Halas Hawks 6
In a game that saw Wordsley put in a much improved performance
against Halas U13s, the teams were level at half time with chances

from Lauren Taylor & Rhianne Murray (3) completed the 6-1
scoreline.
Halas East 4 Halas West 2
An exciting match was expected when the U16s East and West met and
the girls didn’t disappoint. The West team took an early lead with
another long range shot from Shanice Mayers, but this seemed to
spur on the East team, who then raced to a 3-1 lead, with a well
taken hat trick from Jenny Watkins. Shanice pegged the lead back
to 3-2 with another fine goal, but Jenny made the points safe with
another excellent goal to make the final score 4-2. |
