Friendlies
The U7s East scored
seven goals against Kewford. Man of the match Taylor Nolan, got
five with the others coming from Morgan Rogers and Josh York.
The U8s West went
down to an early goal against Black Country Rangers but soon got
back into the game with some good attacking football. Josh Parsons
scored some excellent individual goals along with a magnificent
goal from Callum Hudson giving Halas the lead.
Halas played well in the second half and gave an overall excellent
performance with some great attacking football and solid defensive
play. Adam Banks got man of the match.
Girls league
Dudley
United 1 Halas Hawks East 2
In a
fantastic advert for girls football, Halas U10s east managed to
gain a hard fought win over Dudley. Following an even start to the
match, Halas took the lead through a strong shot by Shannon
Stamps, followed by a second goal which came from a volley by
Abigail Gennard. Dudley were always in the game however and pulled
one back before half-time. The second half was an extremely tense
affair but, thanks to excellent defending, Halas held on to a
deserved win.
Tipton 0 Halas Hawks

Halas found form with the return to a full team, dominating their
game with Tipton from the start. Goals came from Amy Blakemore
(4), Jessica O’Sullivan, Sophie Blount and Chelsea Dudson.

Ferndale 3
The U12s started the game against Ferndale looking confident and
well organized which led to Abby Willingale scoring a goal in the
first half of the game lifting the confidence of the girls
further. Demi Bradley saved a magnificent penalty and continued to
make some good saves throughout the game, but during the last few
minutes the girls began to tire due to being one player short and
Ferndale took advantage scoring three times in the closing
minutes.

Angels 2
Another strong performance from the U13s against Angels saw Lauren
Taylor, Megan Ingram and Katie Hickman score early goals. Angels
then rallied and pulled one back only to see further goals from
Lauren Taylor, Rhianne Murray, Sophie Kinsey and player of the
match, Liz McAleenan, to secure the win.
Halas Hawks East 3
Withymoor Colts 0
Halas came up against a strong Withymoor team who provided a tough
test for the reigning league champions. An end to end first half
finished in a stalemate, with both teams having had opportunities
to break the deadlock. The second half started in a similar
fashion until Lydia Bradley, returning from a serious injury, came
on and opened the scoring with her first touch of the ball. Jenny
Watkins doubled the lead for Halas shortly afterwards before
Rebekah Trevis-Smith scored against her former team.
Boys league
Halas Hawks 7
Forest Folcons 2
In very difficult conditions, Halas U15s put on a display of all
round dominance in every position on the pitch to remain top of
the league. Goals came from Amin Ali (3), Josh Spencer (2), Edward
Leeson and Jamie Hewitt in a 7-2 win. Special mention must go to
stand-in goal keeper, Emmitt Withers, but man of the match went to
Alex Dudley for yet another commanding display in the the centre
of defence.

Halas 1
The U9s West created numerous chances against Withymoor, whose
goalkeeper pulled off a string of excellent saves, but it was the
hosts who took the lead before Shannon Stamps equalized with a
great finish. Harry Wakeman got man of the match with an
outstanding defensive display.
Halas Dynamos 0 Dudley 4
The U10s Dynamos lost 4-0 to Dudley, with man of the match going
to Anthony Cowdell.
Halas Hawks 1
Netherton 7
The U10s West took on league leaders Netherton and after a bright
start took the lead through a Cameron Milne penalty, but Netherton
then dominated and ran out 7-1 winners. Man of the match went to
Nathan Postin.

Kewford 2
The U11s were in charge throughout the game against Kewford going
into half time with a 2-0 lead. Kewford hit back but Halas were
deserved 3-2 winners with goals from Jack Bagley, Adam Baker and
Jack Guest. Man of the match went to Thomas Bagley.

Bilbrook 1
The U12's East beat Bilbrook 2-1 to continue their impressive
current form. On a difficult pitch the boys battled well and stuck
to their passing game with goals coming from Reece Marks and Josh
March. Man of the match went to the influential Jon Rizzo. |
