The U7s West
game against Lightwoods got off to a frantic start with good
chances for both sides. After some excellent goalkeeping by Josh
Matthews, Halas took control of the game, with Will Rowley scoring
in the first half.
Two penalties in the second half (one for either side) saw one
missed and one expertly put away by Farren Brown. Farren continued
his excellent goalscoring run by adding another late on in the
game. Man of the match was awarded jointly to Josh Matthews and
Josh Wyman.
Halas Dynamos
2 Quinton Eagles 1
The U10s Dynamos had the lion's share of the play in the first
half against Quinton Eagles, but were dissapointed to come in at
the break level at 1-1, after Jake Saxton had given them the lead.
Halas continued to push for a winner in the second half and were
rewarded when Jack Blunt stole in at the back post to secure a
fine 2-1 victory. The man of the match award went to the
outstanding Luke Crowther.
