Friendlies
The U7s East pulled
back from a 2-1 deficit at Warstones to win with goals from
Charlie Greening (2), Josh York (2), Morgan Rogers (2) and Nathan
Read.
The U7s West travelled to Netherton where, despite having several
chances, George Silk scored their only goal.
The U8s East played West Hagley, fielding two new signings in
Grace Fields and Jayden Harnett. Halas wasted no time with good
chances going begging right from the start, but Jordan Ward proved
too hot to handle, scoring a hat trick in the first 10 minutes
with little reply from West Hagley. Man of the match, Jordan, went
on to score another four with Tom Wiley also scoring.
The U8s
West had a high scoring end to end match against Hasbury with some
excellent football from both teams. Hasbury took an early lead
with some good attacking football putting Halas under pressure
from the start and giving them a good lead at half time. However,
Halas recovered well in the second half and with some well
structured attacking football, got back in to the match with four
good goals from Josh Parsons. However, while pushing for the
winner, Halas again left themselves open at the back and Hasbury
clinched the game with a goal in the final minute. Man of the
Match - Jamie Stanton.
Boys league
Penn
Colts 2 Halas Hawks 1
A brilliant game for the U9s West against Penn Colts saw Penn take
an early lead before Shannon Stamps scored the equaliser.
Unfortunately, Penn scored a scrambled goal to make the final
score 2-1. Man of the match went to Daniel Grogan.
Halas
Hawks 3 Cradley Town Cobras 1
The U9s East met an improving Cradley Town Cobras team, winning
3-1
after goals from Dan Deeey (2) and Jake Gilson.
Gornal Colts 1 Halas Hawks 2
The U10s West travelled to Gornal Colts and came away with a hard
fought 2-1 victory. Halas were made to fight all the way by a
spirited Gornal defence but an excellent free kick by Jamie
Theodosi and a second by Nathan Postin saw Halas snatch a narrow
win. Man of the match was awarded to Aaron Leddington.
Woodsetton
0 Halas Hawks 6
The U10 Dynamos dominated the first half at Woodsetton, but only
managed a Lewis Sidebottom goal. They continued to pile on the
pressure in the second half scoring further goals through Jake
Saxton (2), Conor Smith, Harry Vine and another for man of the
match, Sidebottom, to complete a 6-0 scoreline.
Halas
Hawks 4 Netherton East 1
A second half hat trick from man of the match, Christian Herbert,
and one form Jonathan Pickering saw the U12s North register a
comfortable 4-1 victory over Netherton East.
Bilbrook
1 Halas Hawks 3
The U12's East beat Bilbrook 3-1 with Kane Campbell getting a
brace and Tom Wickstead getting his first of the season. Man of
the match went to Jon Rizzo, who was mesmerising on the right
wing.
Kewford
Eagles 2 Halas Hawks 4
A gutsy performance from the U13s at Kewford saw Halas come from
behind on two occasions before upping their game to finally win
4-2. Goals came from Luke Patton (2), Rhys Edwards and man of the
match, Danny Hodges.
Phoenix
Youth 1 Halas Hawks 2
In a keenly contested game, the U15s took the lead at Phoenix with
Jamie Hewitt following in from a fierce shot by Amin Ali. Phoenix
scored just before half time, but second half pressure from Halas
saw them earn a penalty which Amin Ali converted. Man of the match
went to Tom Evans.

Hawks 1 Dudley Utd 0
A great game between the U10s West and Dudley saw Jessie Garfield
score the winning goal after a long goal kick from Laura
Cartwright. Both teams defended well throughout the game to keep
the score line down with Laura Cartwright making some crucial
saves.
Gornal South 0 Halas Hawks 6
Two goals from Amy Plimmer and one by Abigail Gennard saw the U10s
East go into half time with a 3-0 lead against Gornal. Esme Moran
then scored a second half hat-trick as Halas ran out 6-0 winners.

It was an evenly matched game between the U11s and Gornal which
ended in a goalless draw. There were excellent debuts for twins,
Kim & Chloe Gorton.
Warriors 5 Halas Hawks 1
An injury hit U16s side travelled to Birmingham where they went a
goal up against Warriors, with a close range shot from Kim
Bennett. However Warriors hit back strongly and deserved their 5-1
win. |
