Hawks West 1 Gornal South 0
Halas Hawks West U10s had a narrow win over Gornal South who
played extremely well, putting in some great through balls. Their
defence made it hard for Halas to get past until Katie Hope came
in with a cross that found Ellie Atkinson, whose shot rebounded
off the goalkeeper, but Ellie followed it up to force the ball
over the line for the only goal of the game. Brilliant
performances by both teams.
Halas Hawks 0 Kewford Eagles North 2
The U11s had an evenly matched game against Kewford, who opened
the scoring after an unfortunate own goal following a corner.
Kewford scored a second from a free kick two minutes into the
second half to make the final score 2-0. There was an impressive
performance from stand in goalkeeper, Cerys Atchison, who made
some excellent saves.
Hillcrest 2 Halas Hawks 2
Halas were the first team to take points from top of the table
Hillcrest when they held them to a 2-2 draw. Goalkeeper, Sophie
Round and right back, also named Sophie Round, were outstanding in
defence. New signing ‘Tash’ Berry scored both Halas goals.

Kewford
Vs Halas
Hawks U8s West
An excellent performance from the U8s West, who took control from
the start on a difficult, wet, cold day scoring eight goals. They
turned on some of their best football this season, with Josh
Parsons netting four good goals and assisting on two others. Adam
Banks appears to have made the central defence his own with
another good performance, allowing Callum Hudson the chance to
move forward and score two well worked goals. Thomas Holmes scored
his first goal for the team (Well done Thomas) and a final goal
from Jamie Stanton, who again worked hard in the middle of the
park, finished off a good all round performance.
Man of the Match - Joshua Parsons
