Halas U7s East 3 Kewford
Eagles 2
The U7s East entertained
Kewford and both sides put on a great game of football. Halas took the
lead through Tom Wiley but Kewford quickly levelled only for Jordan ward
to score two quick goals to give Halas a 3-1 half time lead. Kewford
rallied in the second half and pulled one back 3 minutes from time to
make the final score 3-2.
Halas U8s East 7 Phoenix
Youth 1
The u8s East had a
comfortable 7-1 win against Phoenix Youth with Jake Gilson getting a hat
trick, Matthew Hancox (2), Daniel Deeley and man of the match, Thomas
Bolton.
Halas U9s 0 Phoenix Youth 2
The U9s West were away
at Pheonix Youth where a below par first half saw Pheonix go 2-0 up. It
was a much better second half from Halas but neither team were able to
find the net again making the final score 2 – 0. Man of the Match went
to goalkeeper, Jack Evans.
Halas U11s 5 Warley Boro 0
The U11s met Warley
Boro on a very difficult pitch but went on to win 5-0 with goals from
man of the match Dan Willets (2), Josh March, Jake Walley and a cracking
long range drive from Louis Ezewele.
Halas U12s 3 Himley Colts 0
The U12s put on a
solid performance against Himley Colts which saw them thoroughly earn
their 3-0 win. They took the lead with a great shot from jack Hipkiss
and then Jack Davis made it 2-0 with a neatly taken goal. The second
half was much the same although Himley made a game of it but some smart
defending, especially from Daniel Scarret and man of the match Charlie
Dunnel and a well taken penalty for Jack Davies’ second goal secured a
3-0 win for Halas
Halas U13s 3 Warstones 3
The U13s drew 3-3 with
Warstones Wanderers with Sam Dickens getting a brace and Chris Swancott
the third.
Halas U14s 3 Withymoor 3
The U14s were 3-2 down
against Withymoor but came up with a late equalizer to grab a share of
the points. Goals came from Jamie Hewitt (2) and Luke Sadler with Emmitt
Withers getting man of the match.
Halas U16s 2 Bewdley Town 1
The U16s were another
team who had to claw back a deficit. Bewdley Town opened the scoring but
goals from Steve Price and Steve Hussey gave Halas a well-deserved 2-1
win. Man of the match went to Mark Totten.
Halas U10s East girls 5
Halas West 1
In the battle of the two
Halas Hawks under 10's girls teams, East managed to get the better of
West by five goals to one. Mia Davies (3), Sophie Blount and Abigail
Gennard scored for East with Lauren Smith replying for West. The match
also included some fine performances by Laura Cartwight, Amy Plimmer and
Ffion Jones.
Halas U12s girls 2 Angels 3
The U12 Girls were two down
against Angels but a real battling display saw them pull one back before
half time, scored by Sophie Kinsey, and a second from player of the
match, Katie Hickman, levelling the scores. However, Angels hit the
winner in the last few minutes .
Halas U13s girls 3 - Gornal

Having gone 3-0 down by half
time, the mountain looked too high to climb for the U13s girls. Yet
against all the odds, the character and determination of the Halas team
came to the fore as Olivia Zare playing for the first time as a forward,
pulled one back within minutes of the restart. With a newfound
confidence, Halas enjoyed long periods where they dominated the game,
capped off by Maisie Allen scoring her second goal from outside the
area. Eve McGlynn saw a deflected shot hit the back of the net to level
the scores but just as Halas thought they'd done enough to at least
share the points, Gornal stole the victory with the last shot of the
game.
Halas Hawks U14s girls 4
Hillcrest 6
The U14 s had plenty of
chances to score but couldn’t convert enough of them due to an excellent
performance from the Hillcrest goalkeeper. Goals came from Shanice
Mayers (2), Katie Wilkes and Lauren Pearson
Halas Hawks U16s
5 Kewford Eagles 0
Playing against a weakened
Kewford side Halas always looked comfortable in a 5-0 win. Olivia
Emerson and Lydia Bradley bagged a brace each with the other coming from
Charlotte Rowbottom. Vicky Warren had a faultless game in the centre of
defence. |
