3-2.
Halas Hawks 1 Rowley 2 (aet)
The U11s East lost 2-1 after extra time in the South Staffs cup against
Rowley Rangers from the Bilston Premier League. They went down early on
and struggled to find any rhythm, but in the second half, the lads
battled back to equalise through Josh March and were unlucky not to win
it at the death. They continued their good form into extra time and
created several chances but lost concentration on a set piece and Rowley
scored what proved to be the winner. Man of the match went to Jon Rizzo
for an impressive midfield display.
Brownhills Colts 2 Halas Hawks 1
An understrength U12s soaked up a lot of early pressure which saw some
fine saves from Andrew Horton. Halas took the lead with a tremendous
right foot strike from 20 yards through Danny Hodges but Colts then
equalised to make it 1 - 1 at half time. The second half saw Halas tire
and Colts snatched a late winner. Jack Davis was the deserved man of the
match.
Halas Hawks 3 Cleobury 2
The U16s met top of the table, Cleobury Mortimer and in a match inspired
by their man of the match, Dan Summerfield, they won 3-2 with goals from
Josh Haskey, Greg Evans and Matthew Williams
Girls League
Halas Hawks 0 Withmoor 3
The 10s West girls improve with every game but missed their chances to
take the lead against Withymoor whose extra strength and skill allowed
them to run out eventual 3-0 winners. Ciara Robinson-Morris in goal,
Laura Cartwright in defence and Megan Emerson in midfield were the pick
of the West players on the day.
Halas Hawks 2 Tipton 2
The U10s East found themselves 1-0 down within 30 seconds of their game
with Tipton, but they picked themselves up and created numerous chances
before half-time. The second half saw East continue their good form and
with 20 minutes to go, a corner by Sophie Blount was prodded home by
Abigail Gennard. They then continued to miss numerous chances before
Tipton regained the lead from a rare second half breakaway. The girls
continued to press forward and following yet another fine run
by Amy Plimmer, Abigail managed to grab the equaliser to continue the
team's unbeaten start to the season.
Gornal 1 Halas Hawks 3
Halas U11s girls had another good win with a 3-1 victory over

was rarely under threat apart from this.

several injuries meaning they had to play the final 20 minutes of the
game with 10 players. Elizabeth Richards scored the only goal of the
game midway through the first half. Sophie Shaw and Kym Bennett filled
in between the posts and both made vital saves to secure the victory.
