Girls League
Kewford 6 Halas Hawks 0
For fifteen minutes of this Merit Shield Final against the stronger,
more experienced league champions Kewford, Halas U10 East girls held
their own. An early goal followed by two deflected goals, however, saw
them go into half-time, three nil down. Kewford continued to dominate in
the second half, although outstanding performances from Esme Moran and
Sophie Blount kept the score respectable and it wasn't until the last
minute of the match that the Eagles completed their scoring.
Boys League
Halas Hawks 5 Kewford 1
Halas Hawks U8s east conceded an early goal against Kewford, but with
both teams missing chances, it was Halas who took the initiative,
eventually winning comfortably 5-1. Man of the match, Jake Gilson,
scored a hat trick with Matthew Hancox and Dan Kelly getting one each.
Kewford 0 Halas Hawks 4
A fabulous display of team football left the U9s West with a well
deserved 4-0 win, goals coming from James North (2), Cameron Milne and
Nathan Postin. Man of the match went to Cameron Milne
Brandhall Clts 2 Halas Hawks 3
The U10s traveled to in form Brandhall Colts and in what was probably
their best display of the season, they came away with a 3-2 win. Recent
games saw Halas miss chances but this time a brace from Dominic Hipkiss
and one from James Harper gave them the points.
Quinton Eagles 2 Halas Hawks 0
The U13s lost 2-0 to Quinton Eagles with Carrick Russell getting man of
the match.
