Boys league

Millfields 2 Halas Dynamos 4
Halas Hawks U9s Dynamos were back to full strength this week having had several players missing over the last few weeks. Millfields began strongly, kicking with the slope
and went into an early lead, but Hawks equalised 5 minutes later through a headed goal by James Williams. They then took the lead just before half time with Lewis Sidebottom converting from a tight angle. Kicking with the slope, Halas dominated the second half but it wasn't until late in the second half that they increased their lead when Constance Scofield stabbed home at close range. Millfields pulled one back but the goal of the game
came from Thomas Widnall, his first for the team, when from just outside the box, he struck a powerful shot which thundered against the underside of the crossbar and over the line to make the game safe at 4-2. Player of the match went to James Williams.

Club Dudley 3 Halas Hawks 4
The U10s traveled to high flying Club Dudley and gave away an early goal before getting back onto level terms by half time. Hawks then went 2-1 up and were awarded a penalty which could have sealed the game, but this was missed and Dudley came back into the game to take a 3-2 lead. But in a thrilling final few minutes Halas equalized and then scored the winner in the dying seconds to take all three points in an amazing game for both teams. James Harper scored a hat trick with the fourth goal going to man of the match, Jack Guest, although all the team deserved this accolade.
