Halas Hawks West 4 Withymoor East 4
Halas Hawks U8s West went two down to Withymoor East in as many minutes
straight from the kick off, but a great comeback by Halas saw them take
the lead 3-2. Withymoor came back into the game and a thrilling finale
saw a final score of 4-4. Goals came from Shannon Stamps, Cameron Keenan
and Matthew Evans who got two and earned a well deserved man of the
match.
Halas Dynamos 1 Dudley 4
The U9s Dynamos met Dudley Juniors and went into an early lead through
Alex Gardener but Dudley's reply was instant. The remainder of the half
saw both teams have their chances but both goalkeepers were on good form
and went into the break one apiece. Dudley came out in the second half
the strongest and dominated the game deserving their 4-1 win.
Halas Hawks 0 Bilbrook 2
The U10s entertained Bilbrook South who took an early lead and scored a
second to make the final score 2-0. There were good performaves from
Halas East 1 Castle Youth 2
The U11s East pulled the score back to 1-1 against Castle Youth just
before half time with a goal from man of the match, Josh March, but with
a depleted squad, Halas hung on under constant pressure from a very good
Castle side, before conceding a late winning goal from a corner.
Longbridge 0 Halas Hawks 3
The U13s traveled to Longbridge coming away with a 3-0 win with goals
from Jack Hudson, Chris Swancott and Scott Pope. Man of the match went
to Ryan Beech.
Withymoor Colts 5 Halas Hawks 2
Despite a brace of goals from Alex Dudley, the U14s folded under
constant pressure from Withymoor Colts. Man of the Match went to Josh
Spencer for another splendid midfield performance.
Kidderminster 1 Halas Hawks 1
The U16s went one down to Kidderminster Athletic but an equaliserl from
Dan Somerfield made the final score 1-1. Man of the match went to Steve
Hussey.
Girls league
Halas Hawks West 0 Halas Hawks East 7
Despite a spirited defensive performance, especially in the second half,
from the U10s West, East ran out 7-0 winners. First half goals from
Louise Edgerton (4), Amy Plimmer and Abigail Gennard put the East team
in command, but to their credit, sound performances from the West’s
Laura Cartwright, Jessie Garfield and Alice Crawshaw, resulted in only
one further goal by Amy in the second half.
Halas Hawks 1 Withymoor 0
The U11s played Withymoor in what was a very close game. Both teams came
close to scoring, but Beth Sharkey broke the deadlock with a great
header, helped by a fantastic pass from Charis Maguire. The girls
defended well and had a couple of good chances but there was no further
score.
Gornal 2 Halas Hawks 4
The U12s had more of the play and goalscoring chances in a very physical
game against Gornal, which saw goals from Rhianne Murray (2), Sophie
Kinsey and an absolutely fabulous individual goal from player of the
match, Katie Hickman.
