Girls league

Halas Hawks West 0 Halas Hawks East 7
Despite a spirited defensive performance, especially in the second half, from the U10s West, East ran out 7-0 winners. First half goals from Louise Edgerton (4), Amy Plimmer and Abigail Gennard put the East team in command, but to their credit, sound performances from the West’s Laura Cartwright, Jessie Garfield and Alice Crawshaw, resulted in only one further goal by Amy in the second half.

Halas Hawks 1 Withymoor 0
The U11s played Withymoor in what was a very close game. Both teams came close to scoring, but Beth Sharkey broke the deadlock with a great header, helped by a fantastic pass from Charis Maguire. The girls defended well and had a couple of good chances but there was no further score.

Gornal 2 Halas Hawks 4
The U12s had more of the play and goalscoring chances in a very physical game against Gornal, which saw goals from Rhianne Murray (2), Sophie Kinsey and an absolutely fabulous individual goal from player of the match, Katie Hickman.
