Girls league

Halas Hawks West 0 Kewford North 1
This League Cup Quarter Final tie saw the ever-improving U10s West team come close to causing a major shock against Kewford North, the only difference between the sides being an extremely unfortunate deflection, which took the ball past the impressive Ciara Robinson-Morris in goal. Louise Edgerton worked tirelessly at both ends of the pitch in an attempt to get the equaliser, ably assisted by Laura Cartwright, Megan Emerson and Alice Crawshaw.

Halas Hawks East 5 Withymoor 1
The U10s East produced a Christmas cracker against Withymoor coming away with a comfortable 5-1 win. In an entertaining end to end game, packed with plenty of thrills and spills, two goals by Amy Plimmer saw East go into half time with a deserved two nil lead, although this did not reflect the number of opportunities that both teams had created. The second half started slowly, but once Amy had notched her hat-trick goal mid way through the half, both teams began to carry on from where they had left off in the first half. Withymoor pulled one back and had opportunities to reduce the arrears before further goals by Mia Davies and Amy saw East take their place in the Semi-Finals of the League cup.

Halas Hawks 4 v Hillcrest 3 .
In very close fought match the U12s came out 4-3 winners with goals from Sophie Kinsey , Rhianne Murray & two from player of the match Liz McAleenan. Special mention goes to stand in keeper Olivia Woolams who had a fantastic game .

A great first half performance set up the U9s East for a 6-0 win against Redditch Utd in the 4th round of the shield with a hat trick from Cain Smith and one each for Ethan Shelley, Ben Rhodes and man of match Jordan Staten. Goalkeeper James Meek made sure of a clean sheet making a superb save in the second half.

Brierley Hill East 0 Halas Hawks West 4
An evenly fought first half of this cup game saw the U9s West deadlocked at half time with Brierly Hill being helped by some fantastic work from their goalkeeper. Halas came out of the blocks quickly in the second half with goals coming from Nathan Postin, Cameron Milne and Ellis Meridith. The game was finally put out of Brierley Hill’s reach with a second from Postin making the final score 4-0.

Longbridge 0 Halas Hawks 6
After a two week lay off, the U10s took out their frustrations on Longbridge earning a well-deserved 6-0 win with an excellent all round team performance. Four goals came from Dominic Hipkiss, whilst Alex Baker got two. Man of the match went to Adam Baker with a tireless midfield performance.

Withymoor West 0 Halas Hawks 3
The U11s East had a super 3-0 win at Withymoor Colts West. Halas were up for this game from the very start and put on a battling display mixed with some great flowing passing. Dan Willetts opened the scoring with a bullet header after a fantastic cross from Jon Rizzo. With 10 minutes remaining Man of the match, Alex Smith, turned his defender inside out before slotting a shot into the bottom corner. With a minute to go
Josh March completed the scoring, following up a shot from Smith that was well saved by the Withymoor keeper.

Halas Hawks 5 Longbridge 2
The U13s also met a Longbridge side and made it a double for Hawks with a 5-2 win. Man of the match, Chris Swancott, led the way with two well taken goals. The other goals came from Guy Millward, Scott Pope and Sam Dickens.

Halas Hawks 3 Hasbury 2
Another fantastic performance saw the U14s run-out 3-2 winners against Hasbury. Alex Dudley scored the first direct from a corner. This was followed by a contender for goal of the season after a flowing movement from defence to attack resulted in a goal by Adam Reece. Against the run of play Halas conceded two goals, but the lads continued to push forward and when man of the match, Edward Leeson, was tripped inside the box, this gave Halas the chance to regain the lead. Luke Sadler took ownership of the penalty hammering the ball high into the net and securing all three points for the Hawks.

Kidder Ath 0 Halas Hawks 4
The U16s travelled to Kidderminster Athletic and came away with a 4-0 win with goals shared between, Greg Evans, Craig Law, Ben Harvey and man of the match, Josh Haskey.
