It was time for revenge for the under 14s East who played top of the table
Angels who had beaten them a few weeks earlier. This time Hawks won
comfortable 3-1 with goals from Olivia Emerson (2) and Charlotte
Rowbottom.
The under 14s West met a strong Kingswinford side and lost 3-1, with their
goal coming from a Shanice Mayers free kick.
In the boys league, the under 9s faced an unbeaten Phoenix team, but they took
it in their stride and put on their best performance of the season, thoroughly
deserving their 3-1 win. Dominic Hipkiss put Hawks in front but an equaliser
from Phoenix kept the game finely balanced until late goals from Jack Guest
and Harry Allen sealed the points.
It was another strong performance from the under 7s East which saw them cruise
to a 4-0 win over Trysull Tigers. Goals from Michael Ly, Dan Kelly, Jake
Gilson and man of the match, Harry Wakeman, kept up Halas Hawks East's 100%
start to the season.
A goal straight from the kick off gave the under 7s West an excellent start
against Warstones, but after conceding an equaliser, neither team could find
the net again.
It was an under par performance from the under 8s Dynamos who lost 2-1 to
Warley Borough with James White hitting the target and Joe Harris getting man
of the match.

Cartwright (2), Harry Western (2), Cain Smith (2) and Jordan Staten.
The under 10s North found themselves 3-1 down against top of the table Gornal
Colts but a spirited fight-back saw them take a 4-3 lead before Gornal scored
a late equaliser to claim a share of the points. On target for Hawks were Ben
Jennings, Philip Mylona, Callum Pearson and Luke Harborne with man of the
match going to goalkeeper Alex Sambidge.
It was stalemate for the under 10s East who drew 0-0 with Priory Pumas, with
Ryan Taylor getting man of the match.
Quinton Eagles proved tough opposition for the under 12s but they still
managed a 2-2 draw thanks to goals from Sam Dickens and Ben Durrell and a last
minute penalty save from Alex Gregory. Cameron Richards earned the man of the
match award.
The under 15s could only manage a consolation Greg Evans goal in a 5-1 defeat
against Norton Athletic. Man of the match went to Danny Emery.
The
under 11s bowed out of the South Staffs cup after a very sporting and
entertaining match against Ashmore Park Rangers, who won 3-2. Halas twice came
from behind through Jack Hipkiss, but Ashmore Park came up with the winner in
a game which was played in a superb manner and spirit from both sides.
