Halas Hawks East Under 7's entertained Penn Colts South in a top of the table clash played between 2 unbeaten teams. A fantastic game of football ensued with Hawks gaining a 3-1 advantage thanks to a hat-trick from Nick Clayton-Phillips. Penn came back strong and a late penalty gave them a point.

The under 7s West lost 5-3 to to Kewford North with their goals coming from Matthew Evans, George Hands and Shannon Stamps with James Churchill getting man of the match.

The under 8s East put on what manager, Brett Smitth , described as their best ever performance following their 6-4 win over Penn Colts. Cain Smith and Ben Clarke got a brace each with the other goals coming from Dan Cartwright and Ethan Shelley.

The under 8s played unbeaten Rio Saints in the Merit Shield. Halas conceded a very early goal, but equalised through James Williams, before Rio scored twice more to secure a 3-1 win. Man of the match was Lewis Sidebottom.

The under 9s drew 1-1 with Rowley Rhinos thanks to a goal from Harry Allen. Jack Guest got man of the match.

The under 10s rued their missed chances going down 3-0 to Wordsley Wasps. Man of the match went to Reece Marks for his fantastic attitude and overall performance form the first whistle until the last.

The under 11s met Hasbury and in terrible conditions, they made all the running and thoroughly deserved their 12-0 win, with goals from  Jack Davis (3), Daniel Scarrett (4), Jack Hipkiss (3), Danny Hodges and
Timothy Clarke. The impressive Daniel Scarett moving from centre midfield to forward replacing the injured Luke Patton (broken collar bone) showed what a versatile player he is, taking the man of the match award.

In the girls league, the under 12s East drew 1-1 against Withymoor with their goal coming from Ellie Murphy. Player of the match went to Maisie Allen.

The under 14s East and West met each other in the semi final of the cup with the East team going through as 2-0 winners, with goals from Olivia Emerson and Catherine Barrett.

Halas are looking to start new girls teams next year particularly at under 10 level and would like to hear from any girls from school years 3 and 4. Further details can be obtained from Pauline on 01384 637912 or on the Halas web site www.halashawks.co.uk.
