Halas Hawks U7s East continued their warm up to the start of the Stourbridge
League with a friendly against Wordsley Wasps which they won comfortably 14-0.
Goals came from Nicholas Clayton-Phillips (6), Dan Kelly (3), Mark Slater (2),
Harry Wakeman, Jack Layton and Michael Ly.
The
U8s Dynamos twice found themselves a goal down against Dudley Utd but
fought back to earn a well-deserved 3-3 draw. Man of the match, Alex Gardener
got two with the other coming from James Williams.
The
U10s North were also involved in a 3-3 draw, against Penn Colts. Sam
Oakley got two with man of the match, Ben Jennings, getting the third.
The
U9s travelled to Woodsetton Wolves and did enough to win the game but
failed to take their chances and went down 2-1. Jack Guest got the goal with
Harry Wakeman getting man of the match.
The
U10s East found their confidence and re-discovered last seasons form with
a 7-0 win over Bilbrook. Jon Rizzo had a highly influential game which brought
him the man of the match trophy as well as a hat trick. Other scorers were
Alex Smith (2), Reiss Aston and Reece Marks.
The
U12s and 13s were involved in South Staffs cup action which saw the 12s
lose 5-1 to Chase Staggs, but the 13s going through to the next round with an
11-1 win over FC Premier. The goals came from Spencer Blackham (6), Brad
Hickman (2), Sam Cannon (2) and Earl Demetrious.
In the
girls league, Halas U10s were involved in a top of the table clash with
Kewford and remain top after a 2-2 draw. Beth Ingram and Paige Dudley got the
goals.
The
U12s West also met Kewford, going down 5-2 with both goals coming from
Fallon Williams.
The
U14s East made it a hat trick of games against Kewford and went to the top
of the league after a 4-0 win. The goals were shared by Elizabeth Richards,
Lydia Bradley, Kirsty Houston and Charlotte Rowbottom.
The
U14s West met tough opposition in Tipton Town but continued their unbeaten
run to the season with a 4-2 win. New signing Katie Wilkes scored on her debut
with the others coming from Lilly Crawshaw and Rebekah Trevis-Smith.
