Halas Hawks under 7s East made hard work of their encounter with Trysull
Tigers, falling behind to an early goal. It stayed that
way for much of the game with the Trysull goalkeeper keeping Halas at bay, but
a Michael Ly strike late in the game levelled it up. The winning goals came
from Nick Clayton-Phillips in the closing stages to
keep up Hawks 100% winning record.
The under 7s West went one up against Warstones North through George Hands,
but couldn’t keep up the pressure and lost 3-2. Shannon Stamps scored their
second goal and Matthew Evans got man of the match.
The under 8s East weren’t on top form against Kewford, but did enough to earn
a 3-1 win, with two goals from Ben Clarke and one from Dan Cartwright.
The under 8s Dynamos dominated their game against Warley Borough and were
inspired to a 7-0 win by an excellent performance from Lewis Sidebottom.
The under 9s went a goal up against Penn North but their unbeaten 11 game run
came to an end with a 2-1 defeat. Dominic Hipkiss scored the goal and also
earned man of the match.
The under 10s North had an end to end game against Kewford Eagles but deserved
their narrow 5-4 win with goals from Harry Wootton, Calum Pearson, Sam Oakley
and two from Ben Jennings, who also got man of the match.
