Halas Hawks Under 7’s East were twice behind in their Stourbridge League game against Netherton Colts but fought back with an energetic second half display to win 4 -2. A hat trick from Nick Clayton-Phillips and a goal from man of the match Michael Ly was enough to win a tight game.

The Under 7’s West made it two league wins in a row with a 2 –1 victory over Wordsley Wasps West. Goals from Cameron Keenan and Joseph Wythes capped an excellent team performance.

The Under 10’s East maintained their good run of form to beat Castle Youth 4 –3. Reece Marks, Jon Rizzo and an Alex Smith brace put Halas in control, and a man of the match performance from goalkeeper Ryan Taylor made sure of the 3 points.

An under par performance from the Under 10’s North saw them go down 5 – 2 to Tipton Town with Philip Mylona and Harry Wooton hitting the target.

Halas Hawks Under 13’s ran out comfortable winners against Forest Falcons. A Kealan Hudson hat trick and one each for Brad Hickman and Spencer Blackham gave Halas a 5 – 0 win.

In the Stourbridge Girls League, the Under 10’s were unlucky to lose their unbeaten start to the season, going down 3 – 2 to Hagley in a close fought game. Mollie Duroe and Paige Dudley put Halas in control but Hagley fought back in the closing stages of the match.

The Under 12’s East ran out 4 – 0 winners against Hillcrest Girls. Ellie Murphy, Charlotte Perks and a double from Maisie Allen kept Halas in control throughout the game.

The Under 12’s West went down 3 – 1 to Dudley United with Kate Duffy scoring their only goal.

The Under 14’s East bounced back from defeat last week to win 5 – 1 against Bramford. Captain Kirsty Houston became the third Halas player of the weekend to register a hat trick whilst Striker Charlotte Rowbottom took her tally for the season to 15 in 7 games with two late goals.

Halas Hawks are proud to welcome children from all ethnic backgrounds.
