Both Halas Hawks U7s teams started off the new season with hard fought wins.

The West team were 4-2 down to Penn Colts but a late flurry of goals gave them a 6-4 win. On target were Matthew Evans with a hat trick, Cameron Keenan (2) and James Churchill.

It was end to end stuff for the East team against Kewford West but goals from Nick Clayton-Phillips (2), Dan Kelly and Michael Ly gave them a 4-3 win.. Special mention goes to goalkeeper, Harrison Budd and Harry Wakeman.

The U8s West gave away an early goal against Penn Colts but they then started to pass the ball well and thoroughly deserved their 4-1 win with goals from Matt Jones (2), Jamie Theodosi and James North.

The U8s Dynamos entertained Woodsetton Wolves and scored seven without reply through James Williams and Alex Gardener, who got a hat trick each, and Constance Scofield, who also got man of the match.

The U8s East had no trouble with Trysull West, cruising to a 10-0 win through Cain Smith (5), Ben Clarke (3) and Jordan Staten (2). Man of the match went to Ellis Byrne.

The U9s should have done better against Penn Colts but missed chances cost them and they went down 2-0. Kamran Qureshi got the man of the match award.

The U10s East beat Brierley Hill Bullets 2-1. A very good first half performance won the match for them when they went 2-0 up with goals from Josh Ezewele and Reece Marks. Man of the match went to Raheem Dyer with his usual solid defensive display.

The U10s North also had a close game, this time against kewford North, but goals from Harry Wootton (2) and Sam Oakley gave them the points in a 3-2 win.

The U11s played Brierley Hill Bullets in a very even game, but once again missed chances proved their downfall in a 5-3 defeat. Goals came from Alex Theodosi, Jack Hipkiss and Luke Patton, with man of the match going to Alex Theodosi.

The U12s had to be on good form to beat Kingswinford East, but an excellent all round performance gave them a 3-2 win with goals coming from Sam Dickens, Ben Durrell and Brian Skipton.

The U13s cruised to a 10-3 win over Enville Athletic. Brad Hickman got a double hat trick with the other goals scored by Kieron Hudson (2), Earl Demetrious and Sean Haywood.

In the girl’s league the U10s continued their unbeaten run with a 3-0 win over Hillcrest.

The U12s East won 3-1 against Gornal North with goals from Eve McGlynn, Ellie Murray and Corina Talbot.

The U14s East lost their unbeaten run in a top of the table clash with Angels who took their chances well and won 3-1.

The U14s West had to battle non-stop against Kingswinford after going two goals down, but goals from Lily Crawshaw and Shanice Mayers gave them a well-deserved draw to preserve their unbeaten record.
