Halas Hawks under 7s East continued their unbeaten run with a 5-2 win over Forest Falcons. Hawks went two up with goals from Harry Wakeman and Mark Slater, but Falcons pulled it back to 2-2 before a brace from Dan Kelly and one from new signing, Matthew Hancox, sealed the points.

The under 7s West travelled to Penn North and were one up for most of the game through Shannon Stamps, but Penn claimed a share of the points with a late goal. Cameron Keenan got man of the match.

All of the other matches were in the league cup and produced a mixed bag of results. The under 8s East led the way with a 7-0 win over Brierley Hill Bullets, with Cain Smith getting a hat trick and a brace each for Ben Clarke and man of the match, Dan Cartwright.

The under 8s West had a comfortable 7-2 win over local rivals Hasbury. Matthew Jones, Cameron Milne and Jamie Theodosi got two each and there was one for James North.

After last week’s defeat, the under 8s Dynamos bounced back in style, beating Dudley Town 5-0, with goals from James Williams (3) and Connie Scofield (2). The referee gave the whole team the man of the match award for an excellent all round display.

The under 9s went one down against West Hagley and despite pressing for an equaliser they gave away another goal to lose 2-0. Jack Guest was man of the match.

It was a potentially tricky cup tie for the under 10s East, especially with goalkeeper Ryan Taylor being unavailable through illness, but Louis Ezewele proved a more than able deputy and the team won 4-2 with goals from Reece Marks (2), Jon Rizzo and man of the match, Reiss Aston.

The under 10s North looked equal to their higher ranking opponents, Brierley Hill Bullets, but failed to take their chances and went down 4-0.

An under-strength under 11s side kept the score down to 0-0 at half time against Warstones but after losing Danny Hodges to injury, Hawks were down to ten men and lost 4-1. Their consolation goal came from Luke Patton.

The under 12s lost 4-0 to Withymoor, with the man of the match award going to Kieron McIlduff.

In the girls league, all four teams registered wins with the under 10s leading the way with a 4-0 win over Gornal. Goals came from Beth Sharkey (2), Caris Maguire and Paige Dudley.

The under 12s East had a 4-1 win over Tipton, with the goals shared between Ellie Murphy, Jodie Taylor, Maisie Allen and Danielle Hughes.

Two goals from Sophie Kinsey gave the under 12s West a well-earned 2-0 win over Bramford whilst the under 14s West had a convincing 7-0 win over Stourport. Rebekah Trevis-Smith bagged four with the others coming from Lilly Crawshaw (2) and Shanice Mayers.

Halas Hawks are proud to welcome children from all ethnic backgrounds.
