Halas 13 - 0 Dudley Sports
(League match - Saturday 29th September 2007)
What better way to win your first game of the season than with a 13-0
victory? Halas dominated from the off and rarely gave Dudley a sniff.
With a hat-trick of hat-tricks from Charlotte Perks, Maisie Allen and Girl
of the Game Jodie Taylor, the game gave the Halas girls the boost
they desperately needed. Adding to the goal haul were Eve McGlynn
with two and a goal apiece for Corina Talbot and Ellie Murphy. With
the promise of a meal at Pizza Hut for all the players if they
broke the 10 goal target set by the coach, Chris now has to put his
money where his mouth is and take the team out for a celebration...!!!
Goal(s): Maisie Allen x3, Jodie Taylor x3, Charlotte Perks x3, Eve McGlynn x2,

If you have experience of playing competitive football, Halas Hawks U13s
Girls are keen to hear from you. If you are interested, then please call
to arrange an opportunity to come along to one of our training sessions.
All positions considered but we are especially keen to hear from
experienced forwards and strikers.
(Please note, you should currently be in Year 8 at secondary school)
(League match - Saturday 15th September 2007)
It was a case of 'same again' as Halas lost their second match of the
season following a poor first half that saw them go 3-0 down in the first
35 minutes. As with Longbridge the week before, the Halas girls
showed an amazing amount of spirit to pull back what seemed like
a lost cause. Goals by Olivia Zare, Maisie Allen and Eve McGlynn
gave Halas renewed hope as they pushed for the winner. Unfortunately
though, with the last kick of the game Gornal scored the winner, leaving
Halas rooted to the bottom of the league and with no points to their credit.
Goal(s): Olivia Zare, Maisie Allen, Eve McGlynn
Girl of the Game: Maisie Allen
(League match - Saturday 8th September 2007)
Halas went down to a very late strike to lose their opening match of
the season 2-1 to Longbridge. Having looked out of sorts for the first
half, Halas dominated for long periods in the second half.
With growing confidence, captain Maisie Allen forced the
goalkeeper to tip over the crossbar before equalising with a scorching shot
from outside the area. But as the game came to a close,
Longbridge cruelly snatched the victory with their last attacking move
Girl of the Game: Maisie Allen & Corina Talbot
