Halas Hawks U14's 6 v Halas Hawks U13's 3

Friendly

Thanks to the U13 girls for this good natured friendly played in the correct spirit . It was a very welcome game for the girls who have not played competitively for a month now but you would not know the difference as they played some great football in the first half with goals from Liz McAleenan (2) and one either side of half time from Rhianne Murray . The second half was a different story with the U13 putting a lot more pressure on a tiring U14 team and scored three good goals before player of the match Kate Drew stamped her authority back on the game with a well deserved hat trick .

27/03/2010

Ferdale Youth 3 v Halas Hawks 4

League

The U14 girls started the game strongly and went two up in the first quarter courtesy of Megan Ingram & Elizabeth McAleenan . Ferndale then pulled one back only for Rhianne Murray to go and give Halas a two goal margin again almost immediately . The visitors should have been home and dry just after the break when Murray got her second but a spirited fight back from the home team led to a tense finish but a well organized Halas defense held strong for victory . Player of the match was Cara Tromans .

21/03/2010

Kidderminster Lions 2 v Halas Hawks 1

League

A great display from the U14 girls saw them take the game to a Kidderminster side who are challenging for the league title . Halas stamped their authority on to game from the first whistle and all the pressure paid off from a corner midway into the first half . The ball was whipped across and Elizabeth McAleenan who was under terrific pressure managed to get her head on to it to score . The opposition came back with a goal from a shot that was parried but unable to be kept out . Kidderminster then took the lead just before the break . The second half was frantic end to end stuff but Halas were unable to find the equalizer they deserved . Player of the match was Olivia Woollams who was fantastic from start to finish .

13/03/2010

Halas Hawks 3 v Ferndale Youth 0

League

A much improved performance this week saw Halas take all three points in this end to end confrontation . But the game was settled with a strike in each half from one of the players of the match , Megan Ingram and the other a sweet strike from Rhianne Murray with ten minuets to go . Goalie Kate Duffy kept a very pleasing clean sheet and also got a well deserved player of the match  .

06/03/2010

Kinver Colts 1 v Halas Hawks 1

League

A very under-par performance from the U14 girls saw them get a draw at Kinver . With the teams level at half time after a goalless first half it took a strike from Megan Ingram to put Halas one up about 10 minuets into the second half . That should have been the signal for Halas to go on and take the game but they never got out of second gear and Kinver equalized in the dying minutes .

27/02/2010

Halas Hawks 0 v Withymoor Colts 6

League

The U14 girls were always going to be up against it with a chronic injury and illness list playing a team top of the table . But apart from a mad five minuets when Withymoor scored four the girls played well , a few through the pain barrier . Special mention to Kate Duffy who played her first game out of goal . Player of the match was keeper Olivia Woollams who was absolutely magnificent .

13/02/2010

Netherton Colts 0 v Halas Hawks 5

League

An injury ravaged side took on Netherton on a cold snowy day . The first half was fairly even with both teams having their fair share of chances but a good game from keeper , Kate Duffy kept out the opposition . With half time fast approaching a good passing move was finished with Rhianne Murray scoring . The second half was more one way with Halas well into their opponents half and further goals from Murray (2) and Megan Ingram (2) ensured victory . Player of the match was Liz Mc Aleenan who bossed the game from start to finish .

06/02/2010

Wordsley Wasps 2 v Halas Hawks 2

League

Halas started the game superbly passing the ball around and went two up in the first 25 minuets courtesy of Rhianne Murray and Lauren Taylor . But unfortunately after this time they were forced into several changes through injury and could not stop Wordsley from scoring the equalizer just before the final whistle . Player of the match was Rhianne Murray who did everything that was asked of her .

23/01/2010

Halas Hawks 2 v Withymoor Colts 3

Cup

A great game of football was witnessed in this cup semi final against Withymoor . Halas took their opponents apart in the first twenty minutes with goals from Katie Hickman , a fantastic solo effort cutting in from the right hand side and scoring near post and then Elizabeth McAleenan with a great free kick from the half way line . Withymoor then scored in extra time of the first half . The second half was just as frantic with chances at both ends but in the end Halas lost with the winner again coming in extra time . Player of the match was Kate Drew .

12/12/2009

Halas Hawks 4 v Kinver Colts 2

Cup

A close game was contested between Halas and Kinver in the cup . Halas went two up in the first half courtesy of Liz McAleenan and Chloe Biddlestone . But after the break Kinver came out fighting and leveled the scores . Halas then had to dig deep and came out eventual winners with another goal each from the first half scorers . Player of the match was Rebecca Ingram .

05/12/2009

Worcester City Wanderers 5 v Halas Hawks 2

League

The U14 girls went two up courtesy of Megan Ingram the first being a great volley off a cross from Liz McAleenan . But the pitch that resembled a swamp did the Halas passing game no favors at all and Worcester adapted better to the conditions that at the end looked like a mud bath . Player of the match was Elizabeth McAleenan .

28/11/2009

Halas Hawks 5 v Worcester City Wanderers 2

League

The girls got back into winning ways with this fantastic victory over Worcester . First off the mark was Katie Hickman who ran down the left wing , cut in , then slotted the ball passed the keeper with a whoop of delight for her first goal of the season . Next on the score sheet was Megan Ingram who ran onto a through ball and calmly put it away . Worcester then rallied and got one back but further goals from Rhianne Murray (2) and Lauren Taylor in the second half ensured victory . A great achievement with no subs due to illness . Player of the match was keeper Kate Duffy .

21/11/09

Droitwich Spa Lions 3 v Halas Hawks 0

League

The girls put on a really great display against Droitwich , despite being under strength , with both teams going for it . Unfortunately the luck was on the home teams side on this occasion and the score line in no way reflected on what an even game it was . Player of the match was Megan Ingram .

07/11/09

Halas Hawks 4 v Kinver Colts 1

League

A workman like performance was put in by the U14 girls against a tough Kinver side . Chloe Biddlestone scored in the first attack somehow managing to squeeze the ball passed the keeper from an impossible angle , she then provided a great through-ball to set up Sophie Kinsey for her first of the season . Kinver pulled one back only for Rhianne Murray to restore a two goal lead almost immediately . The win was topped off with a terrific volley from a corner by Kate Drew . Player of the match was Lauren Taylor .

31/10/2009

Droitwich Spa Lions 4 v Halas Hawks 4

Friendly

A very entertaining game was witnessed at Droitwich with both teams going for it . The Lions went two up in the first 15 mins only for Rhianne Murray then Megan Ingram to level it before half time . After the break Droitwich again took the lead but Halas fought back again with Meg & Rhi both finding the net for a second time . In a frantic last five the home team got the equalizer which was a fair reflection on a great game . Player of the match was Sophie Kinsey .

17/10/2009

Withymoor Colts 8 v Halas Hawks 0

League

The girls were up against it from the start being some players down and playing a Withymoor side that are undefeated this season . But to be fair to the team they kept going until the final whistle with Kate Drew , Lauren Taylor and player of the match Megan Ingram all going very close but not managing to score .

10/10/2009

Halas Hawks 1 v Wordsley Wasps 1

League

The girls were up against a Wordsley side that in the first half wanted the game more and went in a well deserved goal up at half time . Halas began the second half the way they had finished the first but rallied after five minutes and were well worth the equalizer from Chloe Biddlestone and at the end were unlucky not to win . Player of the match was Olivia Woollams .

03/10/2009

Halas Hawks 6 v Netherton Colts 0

League

The girls put in a dominant display and came away with all three points with this win over Netherton Colts . Rhianne Murray caused all sorts of problems in the Netherton defense and bagged herself four goals . The other players who hit the net were Megan Ingram and first of the season for Liz McAleenan . Player of the match was Cara Tromans .

26/09/2009

Halas Hawks 4 v Peopleton Juniors U15's 0

Friendly

The U14 girls had a terrific match against Peopleton Juniors and finished the match as strongly as they had begun . Goals from Megan Ingram , Rhianne Murray , Lauren Taylor & first goal in Halas colours for Kate Drew sealed the win . Player of the match was Katie Hickman .

19/09/09

Halas Hawks 3 v Kidderminster Lions 6

League

In a game that saw equal chances at both ends , it was Kidderminster who were the ones with the most clinical finishing and although Megan Ingram , Olivia Woollams & a cracker from player of the match Rhianne Murray all scored it was not enough on the day .

12/09/09

Halas Hawks 1 v Droitwich Spa Lions 1

League

In the first half the girls battled evenly with the opposition but unfortunately due to a mix up went down to a goal just before half time. The second half however was all one way as Halas attacked relentlessly and from one of these a well deserved equalizer came from Lauren Taylor . Player of the match was Kate Drew who did not put a foot wrong at the back .

05/09/09

Halas Hawks 4 v Welland Juniors U15's 0

Friendly

The first game of the season saw Halas have a great game against a well organized Welland side . They played the ball around well and looked comfortable at the back although they did look a little weary towards the end , that's to be expected . Goalscorers were  Rhianne Murray (2) , Megan Ingram & newcomer and player of the match Chloe Biddlestone.
